I have been using this to aid in intestinal motility and it works very well. The flavor, however, is horrible to me. I have found that if I mix it with some plain yogurt, stevia and a squirt of lemon juice, it is palatable. I hope it is helping my gut biome's health, though I don't know how to tell if it is.

This the 5th time ordering this brand in 5 years. I could sense some hanky panky adulteration. Didn't taste the way it used to. Very grainy. Not as effective as the previous orders. Looks like they are adding some neutral herb / seed ( or may be they are adding ground Amla seed with the fruit as well ) other than the 3 ingredients to create more volume and make a few bucks at the end. Something is off. I am disappointed.Don't give the standard Ayurvedic excuse - " the taste varies from batch to batch and the soil, the weather, etc. etc.Blue Lily - Please pay attention and take a look at it. I just rec'd my order for Blue Lily Organics Triphala Powder. I tried my first cup of tea I made with it using 1/2 tsp. of the powder as suggested. I had the tea just before bedtime.Today I feel the same as I did before I drank the tea. Did I get a bad batch? or maybe asking for a review before I have had the opportunity to actually try the product is a bit premature??

Every companies triphala is a little different in my experience. Some have a finer particle size, some is a little grainer. Some seem to do different proportions of the 3 fruits, which lead to different flavors. Perhaps some of the subtleties of the flavor differences comes from the quality of the soil, i.e. if it was grown in a place polluted with heavy metals or grown with pesticides, that kind of thing. To the unfamiliar and/or western pallet, all triphala will taste bad. A good quality triphala will taste better the more you use it and the more you detoxify the body. This product, however was in a class of its own. I've never had such a nasty product. It tasted like it sat in a damp warehouse for a decade. The package was very crumbled, which doesn't matter beyond being an indicator of this batch "getting around", so to speak. I have had many manners of different triphala and this was by far the worst. It tasted like pure mold with a triphala aftertaste. Amazon issued the return so I'm at least grateful for that, but for the product itself; That which is cheap will be expensive!

I am a practicing herbalist and use medicinal plants, including Triphala, regularly.I'm very satisfied with this purchase. I received my order the NEXT day! Which, although I'm a Prime member, has never happened to me.This taste of triphala is, well, not agreeable. It's not supposed to be. Regardless, this powder tastes exactly as it should: fresh, potent, and extremely bitter. This is very high quality herb. I suggest that if you cannot handle the flavor, you try encapsulating the powder and taking it that way.Again, I am quite pleased by this purchase! I look forward to trying more from Blue Lily in the future!

So far the produce appears to have benefits. I am definitely sleeping better. Since i am only 4 days into using Triphala, an more in-depth evaluation is impossible at this time.

Before I got this, I'd only taken triphala in capsule form. It's so much cheaper to get the powder! This brand works well, and I like that I can take more of it without it costing too much. It tastes different to me on different days--usually the taste isn't great, but it's doable, especially for how much better this makes me feel.

I have been using this product for rmonths now and liked this brand enough that I reordered it a second time. This helps me sleep deeply at night. The taste of triphala powder is definitely unique and an 'acquired taste' but I have grown used to it and it is my daily routine to drink a mug of hot water with about a teaspoon of triphala about 30 minutes before bedtime.
