Ideal to wear under a crash helmet. I always wear a thin balaclava under my helmet in the summer. This is just a bit thicker than I normally wear, but that isn't a bad thing as the days get colder. Works well, no problems with it at all.

We don’t have a motorbike anymore and I am not a cyclist, but I do take my dog out for a run at 5am everyday without fail whatever the weather. The one part of my that was always difficult to keep warm was my neck, ears, and face. Hats never came down far enough and scarves did not stay where I wanted them. This seemed to solve a problem even if I do look a bit daft, (but who cares at 5am on a chilly winters morning!). The balaclava fits like a glove, it is nice and stretchy and had little reinforced slots near each ear so that you can wear glasses without stretching the mask out at the sides. There is a slot in the back halfway up the head for a ponytail, so your hair is not squashed inside. The front of the mask also has a piece of material that moves up and down over the lower part of your face to give you more wind protection if you want it. Overall, a thoughtfully designed and well-priced piece of kit.
