I guess you get what you pay for. This clock is cheap and tacky, which wouldn't be so bad but the light does NOT come on gradually enough and even the first gradient wakes me up when it switches on.In addition to this, the cable at the back slips out very easily, which results in the clock resetting itself. The alarm noises sound like bad recordings and the controls are pretty fiddly and not particularly user friendly.I used it for a week in various parts of the room to try and stop the sudden light waking me half an hour before my actual alarm but gave up and it hadn't been used since.

This is a very good alternative, and extremely similar, to a very expensive brand of sunrise alarm clock. I was looking at the aforesaid branded product on display in a High Street retailer a couple of weeks ago. I already own an 'unbranded' sunrise clock which is very close to the more expensive version by the same brand, so I thought one of these would be great as a gift for one of my family (who, like me, struggles to get up in the morning).I've had this out of the box, tested it, looked closely at the features and design, and it's a big thumbs up from me. I'm very pleased by both the quality and functionality. At a fraction of the price of that similar branded sunrise clock!It comes very well presented in professional packaging; the box makes it suitable for gifting.Anyone who struggles to get up and who also hates dark winter mornings will find a sunrise clock to be a big boost to waking up. I really have found that it makes a massive difference to me, as the gradual light effect somehow lessens that groggy feeling you get from being suddenly woken. I also love the additional lighting features supplied, with choices for night light included. This particular clock has all the features you could want or wish for in a bedside sunrise/light clock.Overall this is a great product and a good alternative to branded competitors.

Love the idea of this alarm clock , the gradual light brightness to simulate sunrise etc, however the 6 wake up sounds are terrible, whales, birds, water but really bad versions of them, not nice sounds to wake up to, luckily there is a 7th option which is the last radio station you tuned into. Luckily it comes with instructions as quite a bit of button pressing to get it all set up initially with numerous buttons both back and front but we got there, i bought two and each of my daughters have them. They can also be used as a light with different colour and brightness options which is also a really good feature, overall pleased but wont be using any of the 6 preset wake up sounds. Can be plugged in or battery powered also, got them at a good price on an Amazon deal day so pleased.

This thing has changed my life. It gently lights up the room before you need to wake up so you’re sort of half way there before the melody of the alarm goes off.I used to use my phone as an alarm and it would jolt me awake and I’d just switch it off and go back to sleep. This alarm keeps you awake and calm before having to head out. I travel a lot for work and I take it with me to hotels. It really has changed the way I sleep and wake up. Highly recommended!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I needed something like this, as I wanted some adjustable light in my bedroom to be able to take a look for my little one during the night, and be able to check time without looking on the phone. This one works perfect and look really great. My little one loves to watch changing lightning, colours are beautiful. It’s really well made and looks more expensive then really is. You can charge it using cable or put battery in. Really good product worth that money.

I bought this for my son, there are pros and cons. Ok it's one of the cheapest on the market so there's that, it does work and he likes being woken up with the gradual light.My complaints - volume, when adjusting you can only go up, so if you want to turn the sound of the alarm down for example you have to go through all the settings ascending before being able to do so.Also the radio is a bit rubbish.

Overall it's a not a bad looking bit of kit.But the sounds need reviewing as the waves sound like demolition and come on full (not gradual)The light is great as a low level night light, but the fade from off to on (when the idea is sunrise) is overwhelming and could do with toning down a little.

Be careful where you put it. I originally placed it near a tv and it was turning the tv on and off and making the standby light flash. Not having issues now I have moved it. Although this has now made me question the safety of the product as I have always had every alarm clock I have owned near the tv without issue.
