Great little pump, excellent lift, adapts to 1/2" tubing. UPDATED!
The media could not be loaded. I am so happy with this pump. For under $15 I was able to fix a little decorative fountain that has great sentimental value to me, as it belonged to my Nana and was in her yard when I was young. I have had the fountain for many years now with the original pump, and it was always a challenge to find a good spot to plug it in, It had only a 6' cord and of course...it had to be plugged in! That is very limiting. This summer when I plugged it in, suddenly the pump just didn't work. Time for a new one! This little pump rocks. It is very tiny -- just about 2" square -- and has a 1/4" output port with multiple adapters, and can be adapted to 1/2" tubing. It gets plenty of lift for my purposes, which is about 1 ft., through 1/2" tubing. One thing I had to have is a 1/2" tubing attachment port. After a bit of a search, I settled on this pump since it came with several adapters and I hoped it would work out. Indeed, it did. Although the pump itself is tiny (about 1/3 the size of the original pump in my fountain) and has only a 1/4" output port, one of the adapters takes it up to a 1/2" port, which fit the existing tubing perfectly. One of the pictures shows how I attached it. It lifts water up through the fountain without any problem (as long as the panel is in direct sun). There are a couple minor drawbacks..... It's a little annoying that it doesn't store power (i.e., if the panel is not in direct sun, the water stops flowing), but I suspect that would be a much more expensive device. It's a tiny bit of a pain to move the solar panel as the sun moves, but I think that's a lot better than having my fountain on a 6' leash tied to the house. Now I can put the fountain anywhere I want and I have a 12' radius to look for sunshine. Heck, I could even put the panel on the roof or a fence post for more sun time.I just got it, so I can't speak to longevity, but for under $15 it's a great deal. I am very pleased that my fountain works again, and would definitely buy this again. Might need to do another water project soon....UPDATE: It is now November 2019, and my pump is still running strong! It has been outside directly in the elements this entire time. I found a sweet spot that gets sun throughout the day, and just left it alone. The only thing I have to do is "water the fountain" when I water my plants (to keep the water level up). This pump has endured rain, wind, hot sun, and freezing temps (it's California...no snow to test it with)...and it still works! The screen vents have been clogged with algae and after just a bit of brushing and swishing....it still works! I have also missed "watering the fountain" for a few days and the pump ran without water. This happened at least 3x in the heat. And....the pump still works!!I wish I could give this another star for longevity! Very happy with it, and will definitely buy again.UPDATE! It's June 2021, and my little pump is still working! It does struggle a little to get started. I have to wiggle it around under the water. Then it goes as long as it has sunshine. I bought a second one for another fountain refurb, and it worked well enough to get water up about a 2.5-foot lift in a 3-tier fountain. But, alas, the gardener destroyed the cord with a weed whacker. I just came back to this listing to buy another one :)

So far, so great
The media could not be loaded. Like some other reviewers I wanted to create a bird bath that had a reservoir so I wouldn't have to fill it often & to prevent excessive evaporation.I didn't use the attached heads because I wanted it merely to trickle onto the surface of my fountain. I purchased a thick, dark 18-gal plastic tote, half buried it in our heavy clay soil & am in the process of surrounding it with the extra clay (for insulation), mulch & several perennial plants that will bush around the tote but won't become huge or overwhelming or hide it from the birds. Hopefully the rosemary, various salvias and butterfly pea plants will draw in more birds to the fountain when they grow a little larger and start blooming.I highly recommend this pump! It works great, fits into my 18-gal reservoir & through the lid of the tote with plenty of power to spare. It's still so strong that I have it dripping off of some stones I had lying around. Yes, I have added natural materials like a log and even the rain water we gather because I want this to be more like a natural water source for the birds. I don't mind cleaning it as needed. Using this build method, cleanup & refiling it periodically will be a breeze.Fingers crossed the birds like it as much as we do!

inexpensive and doing the job so far -- UPDATE: died after 8 months
update: woke up this morning to an utterly dead fountain (after just 8 months of use), and no warning as far as decreased performance. always kept it submerged and clean. i guess 8 months for $10 isn't bad, but since the price has DOUBLED i'm wary of just replacing. will see if i can find another fountain to connect to the panel or an entirely new fountain set.original review: the basic disc solar fountain (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B077215M1R/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage) didn't work for me, my bird bath isn't huge (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B005E5IQNY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage) and is shaded for part of the day, so the disc was both too big and didn't get enough consistent light. this little pump occupies much less space in the bath, and with the extender cables (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B073JF6HYG/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage) i was able to put the solar panel on top of my carport and it keeps the fountain going for much longer. (sure, if there are any clouds at all it only spurts the water intermittently, but my goal was just to keep the water moving, so that's fine.) i don't use any of the attachments except the base piece so it only gently shoots the water up a couple of inches, nothing too aggressive. i do need to clean the intake daily, but it's not a big deal, i'm cleaning and refilling the bath every day anyway. and though the suction cups don't work on the surface of my bird bath, strategically placed rocks keep it in place. it's only been a few weeks so far, but overall i'm happy with this purchase and just hope the pump doesn't die too soon.

Amazing little fountain!
The media could not be loaded. I bought this pump in August 2018, and it's still going strong! This video was taken on a cloudy day and the water is shooting about a foot high or so. On a sunny day, it shoots twice as high! I will sometimes place the solar panel in the shade, which results in the water spurting rather than a continuous spray - it still gives a pleasant fountain sound, the birds love it, and it doesn't empty the birdbath so quickly. This would work very well in a small pond also as it sprays so high. It comes with several different sprinkler heads, and assembles easily. It does not have the capability to store power, so only works during the day, but for the price, it's a great little fountain!
