Needs A Large Flat Brush And A Smaller Ball Brush
I just received this item today and the jury is far from being in, but I thought I'd pass along some initial thoughts for those of you who are considering this product. First of all, for being made in China it appears to be a very well made product. All the parts seem sturdy and well designed. The user's manual states charging time is 4 to 5 hours, and use time on a full charge is 30 minutes to an hour. Out of the box it took about an hour to reach full charge. The motor only has one speed, but it is fairly fast and seems to have plenty of power. I quickly cleaned my stainless steel kitchen sink and my bathroom sink to try it out and it did fine.I only have one complaint so far, but it is a big one regarding the included brushes. The device comes with a "large ball brush" which is roughly 5 1/4" in diameter, a "small ball brush" which is about 4 1/2" in diameter, and a tapered, pointed brush they call a "side brush." Those are the only brushes you get, and it's not enough. First of all, there should be a fairly large (6" or so) flat brush for cleaning large, flat surfaces like shower walls or floors. Even the large ball brush is relatively useless on a flat surface - it may be big, but it's round, so only a few of the brush's bristles are in contact with the surface. It would take forever to clean a large flat surface with that brush because you're cleaning such a narrow swath. And, it would be very difficult to tell where you've been and very easy to miss spots. My opinion, for what it's worth, is that a fairly large flat brush needs to be included with this product. The large ball brush will be fine for the bathtub, but for shower walls I consider a large flat brush to be almost a necessity. And secondly, the small ball brush needs to be smaller than it is. At 4 1/4", it's too big to fit inside the drain of a kitchen sink. The drain in my stainless steel kitchen sink, which also serves as the garbage disposal, is just under 3 1/2 inches wide. The small ball brush needs to be small enough to fit into that drain hole, as that's one of the nastiest cleaning projects we have. I'm not sure what they were thinking when they designed that small ball brush, but it needs to be smaller. So that's my opinion so far. I like the product, but it needs (1) a large flat brush, and (2) a smaller small ball brush to fit into kitchen sink drain holes. If the product developers would offer those brushes as an after-market purchase, I'd buy them in a heartbeat. Anyway, I'll post an update after I've had more experience with the product.

Recharging and power duration and speed not as described
After reviewing different brands of scrubbers, I selected the Kako scrubber due to it's described head power, charging duration and quick recharge ability. I even ordered an extra set of brushes as I thought I'd be using this on all my stone floors and showers. The first time I used the shortened length to clean grout on the shower walls, I was somewhat happy with the conical brush results as it appeared to clean pretty well, despite the need to recharge after about 20 minutes of scrubbing. Unfortunately the next week when I decided to clean my stone floors, I was totally unhappy with my purchase. The extended length was shorter than I expected (and I still needed to bend to get leverage on the spinning brush), I was surprised that the rounded brush just about stopped when any pressure was applied to clean and keep the brush in "lines" to clean the stone surfaces. (I now realize I should have read the one review about the need for a flat headed scrub brush!). Additionally, the charge only lasted a maximum of 10 to 15 minutes before almost stopping altogether and the recharge time was in excess of 45 minutes. It took me 3 hours to clean a floor that should have been able to be done in the advertised 30 minute duration on power (I had to recharge 3 times to do the floor!!)I will say that Sam, in customer service, replied immediately to my online email...and it was on a Sunday!!! He courteously listened to my complaint and offered a full refund for both the unit itself and for the extra brushes I'd ordered. He said the feedback surprised him as they test all these units carefully. When I asked if he thought I'd gotten a "lemon" unit, he couldn't guarantee that another might not have the same issues. I decided to NOT ORDER another one as a replacement. When I mentioned the need for a flat brush, he said Kako does have one now online to order if I wanted one...but since it was not of sufficient durability on power for me, I declined. I appreciated the courteous, professional, and timely customer service and refund...unfortunately, I cannot recommend their product.

saves my back!
I have a bad back and can't manage bending down to clean the tub and shower with a regular sponge. This allows me to stand or sit on a chair while cleaning the tub and the walls. You have to press medium hard, but not so hard that your arms get tired. It's easy and comfortable to use. My only issue, 2 years later, is that the charger seems to have stopped working. It was always a little temperamental, and I'd have to wiggle it to get the charging light to stay on, but now i can't get the charge light to come on at all. I think i just need a new charger, and i have not looked into what these replacements cost, or maybe if a phone charger could work? Hopefully i will be able to resolve this issue because it really is a very handy tool!

great product if it lasted -- review updated -- Fails to hold charge
UPDATE 2 years after purchase and after less than 10 uses ( I used it for annual cleaning of tile grouts and mirrors so not that often it fails to hold a charge ) and no longer works unfortunately I purchased additional heads because I liked the product so much but its not worth it if its going to fail after such limited use) Great product - for those with disabilities - easy to get to hard to reach areas of bath and kitchen - received it yesterday and am already cleaning kitchen grout lines - I believe the scrubber will work best with the right combination of cleanser so if at first you find that its not working as good as you hoped try a different cleaner ( wet and let it sit for a bit) may take time but less elbow grease -- to the makers of the product do you sell microfiber bonnets for the attachments - think this would work great to polish mirrors and wash windows
