3/2020 update:- this set seems to be getting more and more comfortable over time. I’m a bit surprised, but after two months there aren’t any scratches on it yet from dogs (or the foster kitten I had for a week). I feel like this set is more comfortable than a lot of sets I’ve considered. I have to say that for this price, I do recommend!2/2020 update:-I’m actually adding a star to give it 4 stars. Because it’s been holding up great for the price. The cushions get more and more comfortable as we use them. I love that the fabric wipes clean.- I’ve noticed some stuffing coming out of the seam of a cushion that’s maybe been sat in twice, so that’s disappointing. I would only recommend this set for those who expect minimal use.12/2019:- The cushions are shinier than I had hoped, and are wrinkly.- After about a month a lot of the wrinkles have come out, but some of the cushions are still pretty wrinkled.- The fabric feels like it will hold up for a while, and so far it's stood up well to my dogs.- The cushions slide off super easy, you definitely need to velcro them down.- The connector for the sectional is just two bars that slide into a couple of holes. This is a problem because anytime someone sits down on the couch, the left side slides back and forth from the right side.- The metal rivet decorations are very shiny, I think I'm going to paint them brown.- The price is great, but the quality is really not there. It will hold up okay for a year or so, but I wish that I had bought a different set.

I wanted to wait some time before posting the review to fully "experience" the couch before perhaps prematurely writing a critique. I've owned the couch since August 2017, so about four months, and overall, I love it! I found this couch after months of searching. I had originally found it on Wayfair, and just plugged in the name onto Amazon and was able to find it at a much cheaper price, with a MUCH better shipping time (Wayfair was going to make me wait a month; Amazon got to me within a week). The delivery team was great, I was able to choose a delivery window. When an earlier delivery on their roster was canceled, the team called me to offer an earlier delivery time and maintained constant communication with me about my package's whereabouts. Once the team got here, they bought the packages inside my home, which they didn't have to, because I had only paid for front-door delivery. Once the couch was being assembled, it was relatively easy, though some pieces were missing labels. I loved that I was able to choose which side the chaise would go on--probably the main reason I bought this couch, along with the ottoman. One major critique, however, is that the link the package brought to pair the chaise and actual couch was PROFOUNDLY INADEQUATE. I had to buy two mending plates (can easily and inexpensively be purchased at any hardware store), and drill nails into the couch and chaise to link them. This, so far, has been a sufficient solution. Another critique is the the lower half of the chaise cushion shifts a lot when you're laying down. One solution I haven't tried yet, but I think may work is applying velcro to the base and cushion--hoping to try this soon. One thing that hasn't bothered me as much, but may bother others, is that the back of the couch didn't uniformly align, there is about a 1.5 inch difference in the alignment, perhaps I'll add some pictures to demonstrate. Lastly, when putting together, I remember the back pillows or cushions took some time to figure out where each went, but we ultimately figured it out. Those are my major critiques. Overall, I love the couch. My roommate argued it was stiff or hard at first, but I think it's softened up. I love it because it's easy to clean. My roommate is allergic to dogs and my dog will sneak a nap or two on the couch while we are away. Being able to wipe the hair right off is a huge help. The color is a beautiful espresso brown.The pillows were a nice bonus, though I recommend also buying your own and maybe a nice throw if you want some additional style. The throw is especially needed if you live in colder environments, since the leather really captures those colder temperatures. Again, even with those critiques (some of them that could be major if not promptly and proactively addressed), I love this couch and think it deserves 5 stars for the price, delivery time and service, and overall comfort and quality. Would highly recommend!

I waited a few weeks before I wanted to comment on this furniture purchase. First: I've been shopping for a sectional for nearly 3 months before I decided to purchase this one. I went to a couple of my local furniture stores and I couldn't find anything that would fit the available basement space for a reasonable amount of money. I relied heavily on the comments posted on all the online furniture comments. With that said....As described by all other comments, this couch is stiff, and no I do not believe it will soften up over time. What I do believe, you may or may not eventually get comfortable sitting on it. Pay close attention to the back rest height, it is not a typical height it is shorter. Pay close attention to the many many seams in this sectional, I count 14 in total. This allows many opportunities for this sectional to slip and slide into. Be prepared to purchase heavy duty velcro to keep things together. So Far I spent $20 on velcro and it was not even close to good enough. Everything on this sectional had to be put together. The directions were clear and easy to follow, however NONE of the items were marked. It took me about an hour to figure out how it all fit together. After that installation was very easy. It's construction is cheap, it will NOT handle any abuse. I'm single with a cat, it works for me. If your on a budget, the price is fair. If you can spend a little more money, I would recommend something with better quality. As for the seller and delivery. Manhattan Lane used nearly all of the 3 weeks to deliver this to me 18 days. Hours before it actually shipped Amazon had a "flash" sale for this sectional, $100 less. Manhattan Lane without question credited me $100. Kudos to them, Thank you for that. So keep your eyes open for those flash sales. I originally started with 3 stars, but after writing this review I will give it 4 stars. The price was fair. My attitude is You get what you pay for.
