Comfiness was surprising!
First, although I was skeptical of the size recommendation, I went with it and was happy that it was the perfect fit for a base layer. Second, the feel was terrific! It was so warm and comfortable by itself that I was eager to try it under a sweatshirt. The next morning, it was around freezing before dawn, and with only a sweatshirt, I was comfortable until I began to sweat, but this shirt did its job of wicking most of the moisture away from my skin, allowing me to complete my several-mile walk in relative comfort. Recommended!

Soft and warm
Very lightweight elastic material and comfortable next to the skin. However: this style runs quite small for a Size Large. My husband put it on and smiled because it was so soft. But then later I kept hearing him complaining, " I CAN'T MOVE! I CAN'T RAISE MY ARMS! "So I'm here to help you out. Just a suggestion: Should you suffer from any level of claustrophobia I'd heartily recommend you consider a size or two larger than usual. Now don't get me wrong, they are worth every penny because of their great quality.

Simply Awesome
Now that the weather in my corner of the world is taking a turn to cold I needed a layer to keep me comfortable. I'm so impressed with these thermal shirts. I bought the first one and absolutely loved the super comfortable fabric. I'm comfortable without getting hot. It doesn't let cold breezes through while being very breathable. At this price you can't go wrong. I ordered a second shirt in a different color and have a third piece in my cart. You can have 3 or 4 of these for what the spendy brands get for a single item. As a bonus these shirts fit well and look really sharp. Here's to another great Amazon find. I could have looked all day at my local big boxes without finding something I'm this happy with.

Soft & warm
I love this shirt. It gives a nice warmth to your skin without being hot after normal wearing. It’s soft against your skin and absolutely love the V neck. I ordered large since my bust and belly fill out shirts..lol!My only complaint is the bottom/waist… if I don’t tuck it into my undies, it rides up and bunches up around my waist and belly button. So getting in out of vehicles I have to re-tuck it in. But otherwise it’s a great shirt I’ve worn it as just a pj top and under a shirt, love it.

VERY TIGHT FIT
I bought this for my husband who golfs. He is usually a large. I ordered an x-large because Iknow he will not wear something that is crazy tight. The x-large was very tight. I returned it and orderedhim an xx-large. It certainly fit better but didn't fit likeI think it's supposed to fit. He did wear it golfing andhe thought it kept him warmer than he would have beenwithout it. So it's definitely functional.

Here is the real story with Thermajohn fit and quality.
I have given Thermajohn a fair shot with the thermal compression shirts in both styles, crew and mock neck. I have 3 of each style and have ordered multiple colors at different times. Here is the short list of likes and the long list of things that makes these shirts not such a good option anymore.Likes:1. They are warm2. Price, but they are getting more expensive, so bang for the buck has gone down. The not so good:1. Fit. This is a long list. Out of all 6 shirts none of them fit the same. They are all XL kind of, some tighter some looser, total crap shoot. Poor quality control. Sleeve length is short, any other XL performance shirts are at least an inch and a half longer. For the record I'm no knuckledragger either! Cold weather shirts need long enough sleeves to keep the cold out. The body of the shirts are really long. If I wanted a coctail dress I would order one. You can cover your ass with these shirts and while that does help to keep the cold out all the extra material ends up back at the belt line. This causes a constant adjustment of the shirts to pull them back down. So, I am constantly pulling the body and sleeves back into place . Not to be someone to just points out problems I also have a solution: Shorten the body and use the material to legthen the sleeves. Don't get carried away though, we don't need thermal, compression belly shirts with elephant sleeves.2. Compression: These are a tight fit with stretch not compression. As with most of the inexpensive activewear that sells on Amazon that claims compression it is not. If you want real compression look for gear made with high precentages of lycra or elastane. (35% is a good rule of thumb)3. Range of motion: Raising your arms above your head will pull your shirt up and sleeves up.4. Exterior durability: Wearing a Osprey Talon day pack has worn the outside of the shirt in short order. You can see where the straps have caused a fair amount of pilling of the fabric. Has not effected the performance of the shirt yet but, it does not look the best on the lighter colors.5. Moisture management: During aerobic activity the shirts absorbs sweat but they tend to stay wet, not that quick drying.6. Fabric has changed from earlier models and is not as good. After all that one would wonder why the hell do you have 6 of them. Well, the shirts that don't quite fit I give to my young son to wear. The others I use to go to the gym on cold mornings or cold weather runs. I bought these because they were cheap and I could have multiples and not care if they got trashed. Now they are getting to the price point and lesser quality that I would not buy them again. I would rather buy something that fits like it should, performs like it says (compression), and will last.If you do not want a tight fit you better size up. I am an athletic build and a true XL and these are tight. I machine wash and hang dry to avoid any chance of shrinkage. The material seems to wash well and not hold any oders from sweat.

Very cost-effective thermal underwear
This kind of thermal underwear costs 29.99 at Uniqlo, which is very affordable here. I wore this in New York and it was so suitable and warm.

Comfy V-neck
these shirts are so comfy and worth the price... they fit tight to the body but the fabric is soft and once you switch over to shirts like this its all you want to wear.. I've purchased many black T shirts but luv the long sleeve ones for winter and find myself not only wearing them at home but they are also rather pleasing to the eye for attire to be warn outside the home.
