Works as should
Have the 6 and 12". 6 runs about 2 hours where as 12 inch 4+. Works well with pellets and adds smoke when running higher temps and need the extra flavor.

When used properly, these will work to exceed expectations.
I was worried about some of the other reviews I had read about the smoke being extinguished before the cook was done. I have done two cooks after receiving these smoker tubes (I ordered two). First, these are solid and well made. As for the cooks, both were four hours in my Camp Chef DLX pellet smoker. One cook was chicken and the other ribeye. Both low and slow, but with the chicken I spiked the temp at the end to get the 165 internal temp. These worked fantastic! Neither one of the tubes extinguished their smoldering of smoke. And to mention, I have installed the FireBlack34 for Big Green Egg SMALL MEDIUM & MINI 3/4 x 1/8 Black Hi Temp BBQ smoker Gasket 15 ft to make a perfect airtight seal (also found on Amazon, and really what isnt on Amazon?). As I did not want to oversmoke, I put one in for two hours, and the other for the next two hours. Both smoldered the whole tube of pellets. I think the trick is the initial light. I used a propane torch to light and left a six inch flame burn for about 10 minutes. This added enough smoke to compete with my other smokers that are not pellet smokers. I like the 'set it, forget it and make a drink' technique. And to be clear, the only smoke coming out of the unit was from the stack, and absolutely none from around where the door meets the frame - so I know I had an airtight seal.

Burns for about 2 hours. But store your pellets in a dry place.
This smoker tube works great, adds smoked flavor to food on slow cooks (hour or more). But you must keep the pellets stored in a dry place. If they are not quite dry, they will be hard to light and not keep a smolder burn going very long. Not so much the tube's fault but taking one star for that inconvenience.I normally use this on my Webber gas grill instead of my old chip box.Easier to use than the little chip box,,,, but, again, if the pellets are not DRY,,, it can be frusterating.Yes, I would buy again, but it is still in good shape a year later. Yes, I would give as a gift.

Mighty for the size
I use this guy in my smaller kamado joe and it’s perfect, have used it in a larger smoker and it still does a great job

Great smoking tube
Used the 12” before and it was too deep. This one is better for cooking things that require less time. Quality is excellent and the s hooks help with positioning the smoke tube in the grill.

Works great to add extra smoke
We use it to add extra smoke to items cooked on our Traeger, meats, jerky. Also use it to cold smoke cheese. Easy and affective.

I don’t write 5 star reviews...5 stars!
If I write a 5 star review then I really like it! I think people are quick with 5s and 1s...that’s not me.I own a couple of these smoker tubes and this is my favorite BY FAR. I have found that standing the tube gives better results than laying them down like most instructions call for and the size of this small tube is perfect for all of my grills...and I have a bunch. I can stand this up in a Kamado, Weber kettle, pellet grill and hang it in my barrel grill which I am ecstatic about! I’ve used this tube a half dozen times and it usually lasts right around 2 1/2 hours which is great for most of my needs. The hangers that come with this tube is a huge bonus and I have begun using them with my other tubes which I can hang in my grills now as well. I plan to buy another one of these because I like it so much. This thing smokes like a train and you will not be disappointed. $10...most “name brands” are $25-30, which I’ve paid and regret.Great item
