Absolutely delicious!
I remembered French coffee with chicory from many years ago, and wanted to try it again. This coffee is just as I remembered it! Truly delicious. It is a medium coarse grind, which I find perfect for making in a cezve. Ruth XXXXX

Great taste
We first has this exact coffee in new orleans and loved it. If you like bitter and strong tastes youll like this. We reuse the tin for plants and the coffee doesnt last long with us as we love it so much. Would recommend.

Tastes amazing but size (and cost) are too big!
Overall coffee is amazing! I bought it after trying a Vietnamese coffee cà phê đá. Googling how to make it at home, most recipes used this coffee brand. It tastes just as good as the one bought in the cafe, but the reason it's not 5*'s is because there is just too much. You can't seem to buy it in smaller quantities. There's no "once opened use within X amount of days", I live alone so I have a feeling it'll go off before I use it all. Not to mention, because there's so much the price is a bit much... But overall, amazing! Just need to sell it in smaller containers for cheaper and have a use by once opened

Great Coffee but Expensive
There’s something about mixing a dark roast coffee with chicory that just works, it’s like peanut butter and jam. Anyway if you are unsure just go for it but don’t look up how much you can buy this for in America that’s the depressing part. Somebody said the tin was too big and wanted a smaller tin, this will last ages so don’t let that put you off.

No Lid
Would be great but didn’t come with the plastic lid so when you open it you have to find another container to store it in.

Love this coffee
I absolutely love this coffee. First had it when I was living states side and was glad when I got back to the UK to find that you can actually buy this stuff off the internet as I struggle to find this American type coffee in the UK. I'm not even sure why I gave this a 4* on value for money as I'd still be buying it if it was more expensive. I have found that the price does fluctuate a bit and it is more expensive than buying UK brand coffee but then so too is pretty much everything else.It does have a stronger flavour if consumed in the first few weeks of opening but I have had it months after opening (Accidentally, misplaced a tin after opening) and it was still good enough. I might also have a small coffee addiction.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK ON THE PRICE!
Bought this often, many years ago. Used to bring some back from business trips to New Orleans, even imported it from the original market so decided to order a can for old time's sake a few weeks ago. Big mistake. For two reasons (1) It's way to heavy and much stronger than I recall. Not bitter however. Just 'thick'. And (2) We found it today at a local market in Toronto FOR $9.99. THAT'S RIGHT. TEN BUCKS. Enough said. We learn from our mistakes don't we...

disappointing
have always loved coffee with chicory and expected more from this after all the great reviews. I was disappointed by the flavor and it was definitely overpriced at 23$ a tin. It's not bad just not anything special

My new favorite coffee ....Chicory...blend? Um, what are you supposed to call it?
I was a little hesitant buying this canned coffee, but had heard good things. The reviews while mostly good, had me a little hesitant reading the negatives. I figured for the price I could buy a can and try it. When I opened the can I was expecting to be hit by the overwhelming beautiful coffee aroma. I smelled nothing, (in fairness I was still recovering from a head cold, but thought I should still be able to smell coffee). I brewed it up in my Ninja coffee bar brewer (https://www.amazon.com/Coffee-Brewer-Thermal-Carafe-CF087/dp/B0174FD5TQ/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1526608140&sr=8-6&keywords=ninjas+coffee+bar) with the rich brew setting. My second can opening, I did get a bit of aroma, still not the typical bouquet of a freshly opened bag or can of coffee, actually a bit of earthy, herbal root fragrance. Not bad but definitely different. The coffee was amazing. Had a deep rich color and flavor. Less the acidity and less bitterness with a similar brew of my fresh ground French Roast. It has become my new favorite go to, also amazing in French press that I use at work. I love the chicory in this, I have been enjoying the flavor and reduced harshness of a full coffee brew. I was hesitant to write a good review for fear that Amazon's supplies would become scarce, but I had to say something good. This is all I have been drinking for weeks now. I went to Starbucks with some time to kill and ordered a dark roast drip, and practically had to spit it out. I have been spoiled the acidic burnt flavor was overwhelming.I love this coffee.

So it might arrive dented, NBD, get over it
I don't understand how people are upset in the reviews that the can may arrive dented. It literally says that in the description. So why trip if you're "warned" ahead of time. Anyways, it's the CAN! Not the coffee in itself they're complaining about.Anyway, that was my rant.Onto the good!I love love love the scent, the taste, and I low-key enjoy that I have to use a can opener to open up the container.Have ordered this three times now.GREAT COFFEE 10/10P. S. my can arrived dented, and yet the quality of coffee remained the same. The dent didn't take away from the taste.

Is What It Claims to Be
Cafe Du Monde may be popular with tourists, but it is more than a place to get coffee after a night on Bourbon St. It is really more fairly viewed as a unique, New Orleans institution. I don't live in New Orleans, but I've had coffee and beignets at Cafe Du Monde, at all times of the day an night, more times than I can count. If you are here looking at this coffee, you've probably been to the real Cafe Du Monde too. So to answer the obvious question: yes, it does taste pretty much exactly like the coffee you get at the actual Cafe Du Monde.I normally prefer whole bean coffee that I grind fresh. But this stuff is pretty delicious for coffee that comes in a can, probably because of the chicory. I don't drink it every day, but it is a nice change of pace. I now try to keep a can or two of this in the cupboard, for when we inevitably run out of the whole bean coffee.Note that once you open the can, you do need to use it up. I wouldn't let it sit around open for very long after it is opened.
