SKYVIEW WIFI Camera Frequently Asked Question,this will not for sale,but for browsing only

Bought this when it was on sale, it was tricky to initially setup with an iPhone (it wouldn’t sync at all) but eventually got it synced using my Samsung and after it was setup no problem using it with both phones.Picture quality is brilliant, night vision is also good, my only problem was with the saving recordings down to the phones camera roll, it simply didn’t work.The camera itself worked great for about 5 months then it stopped recording so it only became a live camera, I thought it might be the SD card so I reformatted it but still no joy, then about a week later the camera stopped working altogether.If it was still working it would be a 4* review, I might have just been unlucky. Full refund from Amazon so all good.

The installation instructions suggested I load the App via a QR code ... which I am always suspicious of.Alternatively, the instructions suggest you can search for "GuardVR" on "Google Paly" ... presumably theymean "Google Play".When I search for GuardVR ... two apps are shown "GuardVR" by Maxwell Wang and "Guard Viewer" by Leon Smith."GuardVR" by Maxwell Wang only has 1K+ downloads and I wasn't sure this was the right app."Guard Viewer" by Leon Smith has 10K+ downloads and seems to be the right app.I have Norton Mobile Security software on my mobile ... and it flags "Guard Viewer" as potentially problematic.It lists "Unusual Behaviour" and "Intrusive Ads" along with "This app may try to install another app. This ispotentially dangerours".So I have to say I was very reluctant to install the App.I did so on another (older phone) and the list of permissions that it requests is quite long including access to my phone and contacts ... which seems unreasonable.I therefore chose to not install the App, and returned the product.

I’ve had no problems whatsoever setting this up if you have a BT smart router you will needto go in to it’s admin and switch off 5ghz before setting this up and when setting up wifi in app add the name of your wireless wifi where it says wifi and password. Even on 3g i’ve had no problem viewing and the quality is always good also if you add an as card you can get instant playback.Well worth buying.

This Item should be very straight forward, however after spending 2 hours of my time trying to connect this camera to a 2.4g wifi signal through my mobile so effectively using my homes wifi, this product failed and failed and failed to connect in the end you will get a headache from the little bleeps your mobile plays outs while you sit there and trying to connect. I received it Same day and it is going back the same day. RUBBISH.

Bought this so we keep an eye on our dog.I'll be totally honest. The app is not the best to get you up and running. It's a bit 'hit and miss' at best.The camera needs to be VERY near to the router when you first use it. Tried Samsung (S9 and S7) and it would not connect. Tried an iPad and it connected instantly. After that it's really easy to add any device.The camera is great for the price. Clear picture and sound. If the app was more user friendly this would be an absolute bargain.

I can't comment on the quality of the picture etc. - you don't even get what you pay for. I have BT wifi (2.4 anf 5 GHz) but it wouldn't connect. The app is basic - typical Chinese technology really; mass-produced and cheap. It might work for some but I spent another 15 quid and bought a much better item from my local "catalogue store".

The package appeared to have been resealed and item has either been used or returned as there were noticeable marks on the camera. Unfortunately I didn't even bother testing the Camera out as the rotating bracket was too loose and this is not wall mountable. I didn't like the product at all. Disappointed!

Easy to install on an android and iphone. I have set this up on an inside window sill looking outside over the front door and driveway. Day picture is very good but the night picture is a wash out due to the reflection off of the window.
