All sheets on this page are 3/64 inch (1.2 mm) thick and have a backing of 3M 300LSE, an industrial-strength adhesive that is the strongest and most versatile adhesives of its kind. It sticks strongly to almost everything. We use this exact same suede and 300LSE adhesive to make our commercial stick-on suede soles for dance shoes. The suede sheets offered here are suitable for many different craft projects, but they are a particularly cost-effective way of making suede soles for dance shoes. While you can buy sheets of suede for making suede soles at crafts stores, those suede sheets require to be glued on -- a messy and tricky procedure. You also have to buy that glue, learn how to apply it properly, and you need workshop-style clamps for this process. Many users of glue also complain about the possibly toxic fumes from some glues. None of those issues are a concern for you when you use our suede sheets with their industrial-strength adhesive backing. Will it stay on? After extensive testing and after having sold thousands of units of this and similar stick-on suede sole products with the same adhesive, we know with certainty that the adhesive stays on when used on shoes with hard leather or suede soles. On the vast majority of rubber or plastic-soled shoes the adhesive also stays on, but there are some very rare rubber or plastic compounds, to which the adhesive sticks less well (fewer than 1% of our customers reported such problems). In the unlikely case that this product does not stick well to your shoes, please contact us. We respond promptly and will provide you with a satisfactory solution. Guaranteed! Chances of detachment increase when your rubber-soled shoes have aggressive profiles that present only a small surface area for the adhesive to touch. This product should not be used to cover the narrow tip of the heel of high-heeled shoes.

Best thing to happen to ballroom dance since Viennese Waltz was invented
I have bad feet: no arch, tendonitis, bunions, the works. I danced for years in expensive, patent leather dance shoes, and I tried jazz sneakers and all kinds of other things. While I'm sure that I looked snazzy and could move perfectly well, the pain just got to be too much. After a night of social dancing, I would limp to my car, and limp the rest of the weekend. It hurt like hell. And no one was selling less aggressive dance shoes for someone who wanted to still move correctly but didn't need the streamlined shoe design (with no support whatsoever).Enter Soles2dance. This amazing company has basically made industrial-strength suede-tape, for lack of a better description. I bought myself a second pair of comfortable sneakers, traced them onto the the back of the sheets, and then cut out the sheets, peeled off the backing, and stuck them on. For good measure, I stood in the shoes for 30 seconds and then... boom; perfect new dance shoes.I am now the proud owner of the most comfortable dance shoes in Delaware: New Balance 840s. I didn't even bother to cut/sand off the rubber tread; I just stuck these suede sheets right over top. They're on their solidly and I can brush them like normal.Note on the dimensions: 8.5x12 inches is just big enough to fit my men's size 11 (US) sneakers, one shoe per sheet (diagonally). If you have smaller feet, then you may be able to get both shoes on just one sheet. Either way, keep the extra material. Ladies are happy to use it to make suede bottoms for their heel protectors.

... kydex pistol holster to make it a bit more comfortable without a tucked in shirt
Used this on the body contact side of an IWB kydex pistol holster to make it a bit more comfortable without a tucked in shirt. I carry every day and the adhesive has held up well over the last couple months. There is plenty of material to do two holsters if only applying to one half. In this application it does make it a bit tougher to slide the holster into the waistband if you do have a tucked in shirt as the suede is a bit grippy against fabric but I would still 100% recommend for this application.

Easy to turn any shoe into a great dance shoe for half the price!
This product worked amazing for my dancing shoes. I am a student at PSU and I am part of the Swing Dance Club. I was always told I needed suede soled shoes, but was concerned about ordering my first dance shoes online. One, they might not fit; Two, they are extremely expensive. As a beginner, this was the perfect solution. This way I could go to the store to by comfortable shoes, and not worry about if they were actual dance shoes. I ended up buying a pair of $80 Naturalizer heels for $20 at an outlet and turned them into some great dance shoes. I saved about $40 and still have great results even though at first I thought this small sheet of suede was really expensive! Although I have been using them very long, the suede is holding up. It was easy to apply and clean. The DIY instructions were a great surprise when I opened my box and definitely made the application less stressful. Also, there is enough to do even more of my shoes or to resole these once the suede gets worn! I would highly recommend this product to any dancer especially for his/her first pair of dance shoes; And it works on any type of shoe! I am highly impressed.Note: Follow the instructions and DO NOT wear these shoes unless you are on a dance floor!I have rated the following characteristics on a scale from 1-5, 5 being the best.Quality vs. Price: 4Quality: 5Price: 2User-Friendly Application: 5Easy to clean- 4Material: 5

Did the trick for one evening of dancing
With two days to go before a 20s dance event, I remembered that the shoes I wanted to wear had very, very unslippery treads on the bottoms, which would not work with trying to do the Charleston. I had planned to try duct tape or masking tape, but I know from experience that doesn't work so well. Searching on Amazon came up with this product. My order arrived in two days. With everything thing else I had going on, I literally left it until the last 10 minutes to try the shoe suede. I quickly sprayed and wiped off the soles of the shoes (no wire brush available) with cleaner. I traced the rough size needed and cut out two ovals. I adhered them as instructed, hoping I didn't have the rare kind of sole that it doesn't stick to. I tested it a little bit, crossed my fingers and went out. I wore the shoes for over 4 hours, and danced for at least 2, and the soles stayed on the entire time without moving. They provided just the right amount of glide without being dangerously slippery. This was not on a studio-quality hardwood floor. It was a typical tile museum floor. By cutting only the oval size I needed, I should be able to use this sheet for several pair of shoes, so I hope to cost-effectively use this sheet. Two drawbacks are the moderate odor of this sheet (it is suede after all) before you put it on your shoes, and the cost. Half or 2/3 the cost of this sheet would be more acceptable for just one IMO. I don't wear these shoes for dancing very often, so I probably won't be able to comment on how long the suede stays on or lasts, but one night was what I needed. I can't say about this particular product, I see no reason right now why it wouldn't, but I don't really expect anything DIY to be able to last on the bottom of a pair of shoes - I would be very impressed if this lasted longer than a few wearings with repeated dancing. I'll update if there are any changes to my review.
