Dan PostMens Blayde Waterproof Work Safety Shoes Casual - Black

1 year later
I own 2 pairs of these. 1 steel toe, and one without. I work in a food cannery. These boots have kept my feet dry and have held up to a solid year of everyday wear. I average 10-18 miles a day of walking at my job. The sole still has good tread and the boots have held their shape and structure very well. The balance (foot section) of the boot is synthetic leather. At first this upset me. After some time I realized that it was better for the environment i work in. They are more waterproof than an average boot with a much lower price point. I have owned several other top boot brands (Ariat, Timberland, Keen, Redwing) that were around 200-230$ a pair and by the end of the year I am 2 month overdue for new boots. The insoles on these are beaten down and the heel is worn out on the inside so they need to be retired. Follow standard cowboy boot fitment when selecting a size. Most people go half a size down. You want alittle heel slip but not much. Remember the material will stretch so alittle snug is ideal to having the perfect fit when they are broken in. I stand by Dan Post boots year round. I have a winter pair (blaydes without ST) and a summer pair (standard cowboy boots with thin rubber sole) and my work boots. I ride motorcycles, weld, cut wood, and all around abuse this brand. With alittle saddle conditioner a few times a year they just keep going.

Boots fit like a glove right out of the box. Great looking and very comfortable. True to size. Thank you Dan post and thank you Amazon for prompt delivery. Made my day. George

Great boots
These are great boots. I am on my third pair, I used to buy them locally, but looked on Amazon and got the same exact pair, and save myself a little money. Will buy again. And again. And again.

Fits large but an all around quality boot.
The boot looks and feels high quality (as a Dan Post boot should) and is surprisingly light. It's comfortable, but it is not like walking on air.The fit is Large. I have several Dan Post boots all sized 12D but these (Blayde steel toe) do NOT feel like a 12D. I've had these boots for a couple weeks in heavy construction and so far they are holding up great

Heavy
Heavy but comfortable.

Outside of boots are nice inside boots are junk
These boots are nice but the inside is coming apart and it's almost impossible to get them off and I've only had them a couple months and the window for return is over..this will probably be the last pair of Dan post I will but

Best boots I have ever owned
I work as a land surveyor in the front range of the Rocky Mountains in Northern Colorado/Southern Wyoming. The rain and snow cause a lot of mud, and these shoes are impermeable. I seriously have never had a better pair of boots in my entire life. It’s not even really worth mentioning, but the the only change I’d make is from steel toe to composite toe just because I have to use a metal detector at work and my toes get in the way from time to time . Pretty sure the description said they were composite, but they are definitely steel toe. Still, don’t care, 5 stars.

Loose material inside boot
Love the boots but inside the boot there is loose material on the heel. Pretty uncomfortable.
