I use amaranth to add variety to other grains such as brown rice. I use a regular rice cooker to cook it, using the same settings as rice.

This was my first purchase of amaranth. I now add it to oatmeal and buckwheat when cooking for breakfast porridge. Amaranth is a good source of protein and vitamin C, plus it also contains multiple minerals that are good for our bones such as manganese. I only buy organic products, so was happy to find this on Amazon.

Trying out every whole grain I haven't had yet, and someone recommended this one. It was ok, just different. A little like chia seeds in texture. I made it with mushrooms; I would next try it as a breakfast instead.
