The Missing Collection: Found; Sent; Sabotaged; Torn; Caught Paperback – June 4, 2013

Although the concept of time travel, with all of its complexities, is not novel, Haddix weaves an exciting tale with each new installment of this series. Her characters are strong and appealing to young readers, and each journey idea is new and fresh. There is a surprise with each one that the reader doesn't expect. Each new story kept me wondering where Jonah and Katherine would wind up next. The historical information in the epilogues are intriguing and informational, providing the background information that I longed for at each turn. It just gets better and better!

Love this series and Margaret Peterson Haddix books! We really appreciate all of the research done by MPH while creating this series. If only my history classes were this exciting! My 11 year old daughter, myself, and my Mom, are all in a race to see who can finish first! The only time we stopped reading was to watch the Ohio State Buckeyes become Undisputed Champs! Jonas parents are in good company.... I am going to finish first! Ha ha!

My daughter is in 5th grade and was ready for something a bit meatier than the chapter books she had been reading. This series (I haven't read it) seems to have her hooked and has made for some wonderful conversation. Clearly, her comprehension is stellar. I feel it is well written, just enough challenge, to keep the reader engaged and challenged at the same time.The seller is awesome. Produce is beautiful and arrived in 2 days!

Although it's a tough read for most fourth graders, a few of my fourth graders have really enjoyed the series. The second book is a little long-winded and I am working my way through it. The kids tell me that the third book is as good as the first, and to plow on.

My grandson has been reading these aloud to me and we both are "captivated" by the intricate plots these books contain.Some children's authors use very difficult words in them for grade school age children. These books are wonderful because the vocabulary is not difficult, even though there are some words the kids will not know, the can usually figure them out with the context.

These books are excellent for any age readers, combining my two favorite genres of sci-fi and historical fiction. They are very clean, and well-written, with thought-provoking discussions, good snapshots of historical time periods, and constant action to keep the reader engaged. I bought them for my tween niece but even as an adult I fully enjoyed reading them myself.

My son who is 10 loves the books. He also read her other series. The only disappointment was that this set only comes with 5 of the 7 books.

My 10 Year old grandson LOVES this series and reads it every chance he gets. Didn't open the gift until a couple of weeks ago. Has incredibly drawn him in. Says the characters and plot are amazing. Nearing the end of the third book already!!!

Bought this for my 11 year old but have enjoyed reading the series myself. Blends history the kids study in school into a well woven plot. Three more in this series. Two we have read and recommend. The final comes in the fall!!

Great books. My kids love reading them.
