TOKUYI® Battery for Apple MacBook A1280, MB771

I used this to replace the battery on my 13" aluminium macbook, which had expired after a year and a half.This replacement works very well. I get about 5 hours of battery life, the same as my original Apple battery gave in it's prime. Fits perfectly, and is less than half the price of the same battery from Apple.

No complaints at all. The product arrived fast and in good condition. The battery works fine, and honestly without looking at the actual battery you can't tell if your mac is operating with a "fake" battery. For the price is definitely a product I recommend.

I bought this replacement battery for my 2008 Macbook Pro as the original battery was shot and was starting to swell affecting my trackpad operation. After looking at the Apple website and seeing the replacement batteries at over a £100, I decided to look for cheaper alternatives.In the end, I decided to buy this one based on the reviews of others here, and at over half the price of the official Apple replacement it's great value for money. As others have said, this is not an Apple-branded replacement but works just as good. After ordering, the battery arrived within a couple of days by Special Delivery and was fully charged within hours. On a full charge, I'm getting 3 hours of usage (easily on par with the original battery).I would highly recommend this to anybody who's looking for a replacement battery for the model numbers that this is compatible with :)

I bought this battery a few months back and when i first installed I was very happy with the product. It gave me about 5 hours if that Mac wasn't in use, and about 3 if I was running a lot of programs. Sadly, after about a month of use I noticed that my mac would suddenly state that the battery had gone down to 0% after about 10 minutes of use. This would also happen when I took out the charger and put it back in again quickly.The life time now is about 30 minutes, which is about the same as my 5 year old original, which is the reason i bought a replacement in the first place.I've noticed a few people have been very happy with this product, as was I... but it was short lived.Be careful when buying replacements. I'd recommend buying legit from apple as it will save you in the long run.

I bought this just over a year ago - the second non-apple battery replacement for my Macbook. This one fared better than the previous one, performing well at first, but after about 6 months starting to flag and now, just out of the year's warantee it has failed completely. So, my conclusion is that these non-branded batteries are good for a short-term solution, but don't expect them to last that long.

Brought this battery for my MacBook, when the original battery started to “expand” and I was not willing to pay the inflated Apple prices. Battery arrived on time and installation was easily. It’s been installed since July 2012 without any detrimental effect on performance. At this price, I will be willing to buy again.

With this new battery after a while that the laptop is in stand-by it's power off itself, even if the battery is not finished yet

This battery is not made by apple. It gets the job done, but not as well as the original one.The main differences between this battery and the original one are:-The enclosure is plastic, not aluminium.-The chemistry is li-ion, not li-poly.-The power rating is 42Wh, not 45Wh.The battery lasts about 2 hours. A bit more if you're not doing anything serious.Bottom line: For 30% of the price of the original battery , you get a battery that has 60% of the performance.
