Bought these to have something loud to stick in my pocket and EDC pack. These are thin (less than 3/16 inch), don't take up a lot of room, and fit well in a pocket or bag. The orange color makes them noticeable in a bag, and the standard bead chain allows you to attach them to a pack or keychain. Being plastic, they are breakable, but it would probably take a good stepping on to do that; a simple drop to concrete doesn't affect this whistle at all, and sitting on it with my somewhat muscular tush also didn't damage it.No balls in this one, so if it gets wet just shake it dry and give it a test toot. There are two tones generated, quite loud and obnoxious. Even a child should be able to get a nice loud tweet from these.

I really like these whistles! I like how there’s a range of sounds when you blow it. It is easy to blow. We both love to kayak and it never occurred to us it would be a good idea to have whistles. I’m really happy we have these. I also have this on my keychain because I think it will be a nice safety feature should I run into any trouble with predators. It’s loud and the varied tones makes it easier for us to hear at a distance. I really like that it is a durable plastic. It’s lightweight and more flat so it’s more convenient to carry. Lastly I like how it has a look of safety to its design. It makes me feel good to have and I plan on buying more for family.

They’re plastic, so they’re light. Will they break? Probably if you try hard enough. I don’t feel like they’d break easily or under normal circumstances. Are they the loudest thing out there? No. But they work and they can be heard from a decent distance. They’re bright orange, so somewhat easy to recognize and track within your gear storage. I think these were just a few dollars when I bought them. I’d recommend buying a few and keeping them in your pack, vehicle, toolbox, etc. Give a couple to your loved ones. It’s something that, for the cost, is better to have and not need, than to need and not have.

They are loud and effective. Have not had to use them in an emergency,but tested them out and they will definitely work if needed. Small,compact and fit anywhere.

It is very light, visible and loud. Test results show that it has 112.6 decibels.

Ordered these Emergency whistles for my friend's kids. You should see them, what a happiness. I did not realized that this rescue whistles has 3-tone whistling sound. Great buy.

This product is extremely loud, comes with the chain to connect to your pfd ,keychain, or backpack. We tested it on the water from about 1. 4 miles away we heard it, very good product to add to your safety equipment .
