A: Our board can be taken and used virtually anywhere. We recommend our customers to start with carpets or a rug (placed over hardwood floors). This prevents potential scratching and the natural "give" of softer flooring makes balancing easier for beginners. Q: Why does my board slide around on the floor? A: Lack of balance. This is a common issue when starting out. As your weight slightly shifts off toward one end or another, the board can wobble/shift. Once you get a feel for it the board becomes very stable. Give it a week or two and you should have no issues. Q: I'm having trouble balancing. What can I do? A: The best way is to hold onto something stable like a chair or table. You can also position yourself near a wall and use one arm propped against it to help balance. Keep in mind balance can be quickly gained. Once your nervous system gets used to the movement and stabilizers start firing, you will quickly find balance to be a nonissue. Keep at it! Q: Do I twist with my legs or waist? A: Waist. You should initiate with a twisting motion using the trunk and core muscles. Use a slight bend in your knee, shoulder blades back and chin up - perfect posture! Keep everything tight as the board naturally begins twisting.
