About a week ago, I was installing my new ozone generator in my laundry room and discovered that the two shut off valves for the washer were frozen solid, and could not be turned off. That forced me to have to turn off the water to the entire house to finish the installation and I immediately started looking for replacement valves.I looked at the major, plumbing supply websites and everything I could find on Amazon and decided these valves were most likely my best options so I ordered them.They showed up a few days later, so I remove them from their fancy packaging and inspected them. Both looked good, included all necessary parts for installation, and the valve handles works smoothly in my hand.Removal of the old valves, which were original to the house, which was built in 1980, was a hassle as they were really frozen on. But once I got them off, the new ones went on as expected with no real issues.So now they’ve been on for a few days and there are no leaks or any other issues or red flags. The valve handles works smoothly as they should, and they look much better than the old ones.So at this point they are everything I was hoping for, and I have no reason to expect they won’t be good for many years to come. The only thing I might suggest to users is to turn your valves off and on once in a while, so they don’t freeze up from hard water or other things that might cause them to rust or freeze up.I hope this helps. Like most old houses we have old fashion rubber washer valves for our washer. They get old and sticky and are almost impossible to shut off completely. I ordered these to fix the problem once and for all. They came quickly, and were easy to install. I shut off the water to the house and unscrewed the old valves then applied a little thread sealant and screwed the new valves on. They work like a dream, smooth, easy to operate, and shut the water off completely every time. I would recommend every homeowner with old valves make the switch.

They cleared the cutout in the wall and are probably as good as anything else out there.

The valves themselves appeared fine. However, I could not pull the old nut and ferrule from the 1/2" copper pipe and I could not get a pulling tool into the laundry box. No problem. I installed the new valve without the new nut & ferrule. Have done this numerous times in the past. EXCEPT. The thread on the new valve is a slightly different pitch from the thread on standard 1/2" compression valves in this country. So, I had to return Amazon's offering and rebuild the existing valves or open the wall in the customer's laundry room. I rebuilt 'em.

Valve mounted perfectly to the hoses going into my washing machine and did not leak through the hose, or the valve.

Good fit

Arrived as promised in good condition. My main concern was removal of the old corroded valves, but fortunately it went smoothly. Installed the new valves using plumbers tape. Like the quarter turn compared to the old multi -turn. Installed on clothes washer water supply lines.

Removed my 28 year old crank style laundry shutoffs and replaced with these. They look great and the 1/4 turn operation is far superior to the original valves. Very pleased.
