Dash Cam Earthtree HD 1080P Car Dashboard Camera with Sony Sensor, 650NM Lens and Inserted Loop Recording, WDR, Motion Detection,G-Sensor and Park Monitor Mini Cam

Around this time last year, my wife hit a car that ran a red light. Luckily, the other driver was truthful and admitted he was looking at his phone and not paying attention. Ever since then, I've wanted to get a dash cam just in case we're in an accident again and the other driver is not truthful. I've looked at a lot of dash cams and have really wanted one of the really expensive ones but haven't had the money. I finally decided to pull the trigger on this one just to see how it is. I'm glad I did!The image quality on this is really good. You have the option of 1080p, 720p, VGA, and another option I can't remember at this time. You can also choose to take a picture with the dash cam. I've elected to have the camera record on 1080p with a 5-minute recording time. The idea is that, every 5 minutes, the camera will create a new file. Once the SD card is full, it will begin overwriting the oldest files. Five minutes gives me enough time to show if someone is driving erratically for several minutes before hitting me. I've taken a couple of screen captures of the video files to show how the image looks mounted on 2 different locations in my 2015 Ram 2500. The first image is from the center of the windshield; the second is from the upper left corner of the windshield. You can see that the camera does have a very wide field of view. From the way I've angled the camera when mounted in the upper left corner of the windshield, I can see the edges of both A-pillars on either side of the windshield.I'm giving this dash cam 4 stars for 2 reasons. The first is that it does not come with an SD card. I know it's not that expensive of a dash cam, but it would be nice to have an SD card. I ended up buying a 64GB SD card for $30, which is almost how much I spent on this dash cam! I didn't really have to buy a 64GB SD card, but I'd prefer to be safe rather than sorry. The second reason for 4 stars is the startup/shutdown sound this camera has. It's horrible! It's very high pitched and sounds like something dying. I'm sure it's just the speaker(s) being low quality, but it's not a good sound. I haven't tested the audio quality on the dash cam as I deactivated the microphone. Personally, I don't see the point in having the microphone on when I'm wanting to use this dash cam in the case of an accident. The camera will show the pertinent info if an accident occurs.All in all, a fairly good quality dash cam, especially for the price. I'm definitely considering purchasing another one for my wife's vehicle.

FYI, camera takes a 64gb sd card and works fine. 4/5 stars because description says it works as a parking camera, but the vehicle has to be hit awfully hard for the camera to start recording, even at the highest sensitivity -- someone scratching the car with their side mirror will not trigger the camera to record.UPDATE 05/17/2019 - 1 STAR. - DO NOT BUY.THIS camera missed recording a CRITICAL part of a problem I just had. It has the minutes leading up to the issue, then misses 2 minutes, then records for a full 15 minutes after that.This cannot happen, how can the file be missing? No tech support available...It records files in a series, for example, my series starts with 577, misses the critical 578, then goes 579, 580, 581, 582, 583, ... all the way to 603 which is the end of the ~15 minute car ride.

With increasing insurance prices and insurance fraud via crash for cash becoming increasingly common it is stupid not to invest into a dash cam system when driving.Cash for crash fraud costs a lot of money every year and Association of Insurers says that every year fraud costs honest policyholders around higher costs each in higher premiums.I think that to install the dash cam is the most effective option, and possible over the top for many people, but if your career is reliant on driving, then it is definitely worth it.This is another excellent option that I have reviewed, it lacks an LCD screen which makes the device profile a bit smaller, I found the video quality excellent, the voice alerts make sure you know it is working and the overall usability of the device is great. The Dash Cam PC Viewer was also simple to use and made finding relevant videos very simple.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This little dash cam is surprising high quality for such a reasonable price. It does rotate to any angle you want to capture video, a full 360 degrees. It was easy to install and records super high quality videos including sound. You do need to buy a micro sd card; I bought Patriot micro sd with the adapter card to fit my laptop.

Great item. Feel like it can't be beat for $40. Setup is fairly easy (albeit I wouldn't say super easy). Make sure you have a memory card and a cigarette lighter availale in the car. Setup is basically out of the box, plug in, add memory card and follow the instructions in the included little booklet. Seems to work great. Hope it comes in handy if something happy.

Since I got it I put it on my car and it's awesome with the small screen,high quality recording, easy access to the setting, sensitive motion sensor, on and off automatically, and most important it doesn't distract you while driving. All that for little price

Nice HD dash cam, ilike d motion detect feature. Enough coverage view range for my GS 350 lexus and even my GF 09 toyota sienna.Not very impressive reading vehicle plate number at night with more than 15ft distance & while in motion.

We don’t know what’s going to happen when we drive, so I get this for my boyfriend, just incase. This camera have two different handles. Good for different car. We record the video is very clear.
