Happy With Purchase
Although it was a bit of a struggle, the final result seems highly satisfactory. To start, there are only minimal instructions provided with the snowshoes so for a newbie there was lots of room for error. In trying them on, i inserted the boot straps incorrectly and could not remove them to correct placement. In the end i contacted Carryown through Amazon and they provided the solution which is to use a hairdryer to warm the thermoplastic strap so it is pliable and will remove easily from incorrect threading. Once that was done and the straps correctly threaded everything worked fine. The second issue was being able to lock the polesTto the correct height. Again, it was just a matter of understanding the mechanism. Now feel prepared for my first trek in the snow and believe there will be minimal problems.

Great product
I’m so excited to try in on even with my slipper, lol. The color looks great, and came with a carry bag, which is very convenience. Cannot wait for the Michigan snow come. Wanna put my new snow shoes on, and go have fun.

'Shoes OK, but the straps and poles need work!
We hoped to replace our 20+ year old snowshoes with this updated model. Sadly, with plenty of Michigan winter left, we are returning them after 3 treks. The ratchet straps were a reason we purchased these. Strangely, one of the 4 rubber ratchet straps was mis-threaded, on the bottom of the strap area instead of the top, where the ratchet would work. We wrestled that into the correct position and carried on. The poles: no matter how carefully they were tightened, had a tendency to collapse during the trek. Frustrating! And, cold metal poles (full of snow), are next to impossible to re-set to the correct length and to then re-tighten in the middle of a forest of snow. Additionally, the pole strap is extremely small - much too small for an adult's mitt or glove to go through. Lastly, the poles have a very small basket on the tip, so when planted, they go way down, instead of floating more like larger pole baskets do. And, maddeningly, the final straw was when one of the too-small basket tips totally escaped the tip of the pole when planted during a trek, lost to the forest trail until May. For the rest of this winter season we'll carry on with the older 'shoes and all their buckles and straps, and use ski poles! PLUSES: they are very lightweight and the ice crampon is great. Fix the pole problems and we'll try again!

Stay on top with these snow shoes
Never had snowshoes before but you can obviously see the difference. I walked in the snow we’ve recently had here in the Midwest. Made a post hole with a snow boot. Then strapped on these guys. Stayed on top, compacting the snow and keeping me above it all. The side by side photo says it all in terms of depth. Great for the price as a first time snow shoe buyer. Have used them as well to compact snow to make paths through my yard to get in and out of cars more easily.

Not a quality product.
Yes, they work. And come with poles and gaters. The poles are not easy to adjust, kind of finicky. The snowshoes work, but they are really trash. The buckles don’t work well. Adjustments are not easy. And because of the way they are designed, the throw a lot of snow at your backside with every stride. Annoying. And wet. They will work in a pinch, but it’s worth spending a little more money for a better set.

THEY COLLECT SNOW ON BOTTOM
I was so excited to get snow shoes . I couldnt use them right away because my sciatic nerve was acting up. So this last week I have gone out 3 times. Snow collects on the bottom of the snow shoe . It caused me to loose my balance and fall over and over again! I’m trying to put pictures on put it won’t let me. Do not waste your money on these snow shoes!!!!!!

Enjoy them but a couple design flaws
We used them a lot this winter with our 3&5 YO. They worked pretty well. We didn't use the poles at all. Couple design flaws 1) the excess strap after tightening was so long and stiff that it got in the way. 2) whenever my kiddo sat or fell down the front of their feet would get stuck under the snowshoe, very frustrating!
