Over time we have put together a large collection of silver cutlery. As with everyone’s best silver it is only used on special occasions (about 4 times a year) and we’ve been looking for a suitable storage system for a long time. I had even purchased a number of empty canteens in the hope of finding one where everything fitted perfectly. Take it from me - it will never happen!Last year, however, I discovered the existence of cutlery storage rolls and started with the teaspoons. We were so pleased we were quickly looking for something to suit the much larger items. I studied the photos carefully and looked hard to find the measurements. The photos don’t help at all - because the cutlery depicted is very small and no measurements are included. I was not, therefore, certain if they were big enough. Nevertheless, I purchased three knowing they would fit something.They were the answer to a prayer. All the cutlery fitted perfectly and I immediately ordered more. Furthermore, when properly rolled up everything takes much less room in the sideboard.All that was left were the much larger items; 2 carving sets, bread/cake knives, cake slice, serving spoons, pickle forks and so forth (I did say it was a large collection!). For these Town Talk provide ‘Zipped Silver Storage Bags’ of different sizes. Now everything is safely - and properly!, stored until next time we have a family gathering.My only advice is to take note of the photos which show how to prepare the roll for storage - do not roll too tight! My only criticism is that the ribbons can be a bit short.NM
