Just a brilliant favourite film

Such a great film for all of the family, especially around halloween time. All time classic, great story and the effects still hold up pretty well!

Although a relatively faithful story, based on the cartoons from the 50's and 60's, this 'real life' version provides a cohesive, if not a little bit sad, back story for our plucky protagonist.Bill Pullman and Christina Ricci shine in this movie; Ricci for her role as Kat, the street-wise, independent daughter, taking care of her Dad. And Pullman as the bungling, book-smart Dad, searching for something that had never been lost.Cathy Moriarty plays the antagonist of the piece, relishing the insanity of the situation, barking at her minion, Eric Idle, with a voice that is well suited to an Army parade ground.Eric Idle, however, is not a good actor, and his ham-fisted attemps at comedy do little to ingratiate him to the audience. It's fortunate he's not on the screen that much😂. He is far more appealing when in the company of his old mates of Monty Python.A new and rather hilarious addition to the Caspers universe are his three 'uncle's', who create madness and mayhem whenever on screen.The animation is terrific. The characters engaging. And the story well paced and involving.I bought the movie in the late 90's for my kids to enjoy. This time, it was bought for me 😉👍🏻

Purchased for my daughter to watch, now one of her firm favourites to watch

i paid to watch this movie whilst making dinner and to fall asleep. not my first time watching it but still my favorite movie ever.

Très beau dessin animé

Ein kindgerechter Klassiker mit der damals 15-jährigen Christina Ricci in der Hauptrolle, die sich mit dem einsamen Hausgeist Casper anfreundet. Bill Pullman spielt ihren verwitweten Vater, einen Psychiater für Geister (afterlife therapist). Sein Credo: “Ghosts are simply spirits with unfinished business.“ Sehr amüsanter Zugang zum Thema Spukhaus. Für Jung und Junggebliebene gleichermaßen charmant. Mir in bleibender Erinnerung: die „Up and At ‚Em Machine“, ein geisterbahnartiger Apparat, der für Waschen, Zähneputzen, Frisieren und einiges mehr sorgt. Wer genau aufpasst, wird Dan Aykroyd als Ghostbuster im Kurzeinsatz sehen.
