Sadly these slights snapped as we were putting them up. No force put on them but one of the bulb connections was clearly weak and they disintegrated.....very disappointed - may have been a one off fault but please be aware. They did arrive promptly and when tested before putting up were working. Update - the company contacted me after I raised my concerns without my prompting. They offered a refund without request which I accepted. So although the product did not live up to expectation the customer service was superb so i have upgraded my review. As I said mine may have been a rogue set given other positive reviews so its good to know that if it goes wrong you get your money back :)

These are pretty good, I was bit dubious about the battery housing and it was a bit tight to get the batteries in the caddy, time will tell whether there's any water ingress as there's no gasket but I've wrapped a bit of PTFE tape around the thread of the housing but they've stood up to the recent feisty weather without problems (wind, rain, frost, snow and sunshine).They have a number of sequences from the slightly manic flashing to the gentle growing/fading intensity and one that runs through each in turn, you just press the on/off button to scroll through them to the one you want & then leave them, they stay on for 6 hours, turn off for 18, then on again.

This product the of 4 AA batteries. 1 set of 4 lasts about 1 week when used under mode combination.The timer function means the lights switch themselves off after 6 hours and back on after another 18. It only send to work for for 48 hours, then they had to be manually switched on for the rest of the week until the batteries ran out.I've yet to try with good quality batteries, just your average supermarket ones.

We ordered 2 sets of the lights to wrap around our trees in the garden at Christmas time. Inside the included leaflet it says not to use them in the rain? If they're waterproof & outdoor lights then if you live in the Uk you're going to have some rain! Seller said they can be used outdoors but not on rainy days?! So are we supposed to unravel them each time it rains? Have decided to keep them but have no idea how long they'll last.

The battery holder is slightly different to the instructions but the timer works well and there are plenty of options in the light pulses. They look good so far and should be great when actually on a tree.

4 AA Poundland batteries last about 6 hours, so I’m spending 40p a night lighting my tree up outside the front of the house. I gave battery life 4* because it means I don’t have to go & turn them off every night. I just replace them every evening. The lights are great, lovely & bright. They can be seen easily from 200 metres away when you turn into our street & have a good flash / flicker sequence. 5* for the lights & value.

They are what it says, warm lights and not bright lights so check before you buy that might not be for you

Loads of lights, just not as bright as I would have liked them to be. Good quality product though and Battery life lasted a decent amount of time.
