From 5 stars, to 2, back to 5 again! STELLAR customer service!
♤♡♤♡♤Update 7/2/2020♡♤♡♤♡During COVID, the company reached out to me three different times as a result of my updated review in March. I was unable to address their correspondence during my own chaos. Recently, however, a new projector showed up. I was impressed that the company so heavily pursued my displeasure simply based off a review. I've never had that happen before. Instead of waiting for me to respond, they went ahead and sent a replacement. I was very happy with this effort, but unfortunately the replacement didn't respond to the USB cord after the first night. I tried it in our original and there was no response. I tried different outlets to no avail. I resorted to batteries with high skepticism but my son had been getting up multiple nights in a row from his fear of the dark. The batteries lasted one night. 4 AAA. He did leave it on during the day, however, but he really loved this lamp and he would spend time in his room in broad daylight with it on.I had another email from the company, checking in with me about the replacement. I almost didn't bother responding because I just couldn't see where they'd find it plausible that the replacement crapped out after one day. Then I thought, well, they tried quite aggressively to right the situation so I can at least thank them and let them know where things stood. As it turns out, they were insistent on continuing to resolve the issue. So they offered me another one, this one a cheaper model and different, BUT, I actually am very pleased with the different version, because it's the sea world projector with the option for starry night, and I KNOW my son is going to adore the sea world images. I didn't check to see if it plays music, but my priority was trying to find a projector that didn't cast creepy blurred images all over. That's why I chose this product to begin with. It really projects the clearest images of all the products I found in the very extensive research I did.♤♡♤♡♤♡♤♡♤♡♤♡♤♡♤♡♤♡♤♡♤♡So, all that being said, I'm actually super excited for the sea world projector, and even if that one does punk out (although, I'm going to choose to have a positive mindframe about this 3rd one), the product gets 5 stars because despite the breakdowns, it is obvious based on other reviews that not every lamp is like this. I can accept that not every product off the line will be perfect, and considering how heavily the company placed focus on a single customer's satisfaction, it won't matter what happens with the sea world lamp. They will still deserve 5 stars for going beyond a business's Right to Cure.*****Update and ammendment 3/27/20****The past couple days it's been "shorting out". When I pick it up to turn it on and adjust the settings, as soon as it touches the floor, it stops. When I pick it back up to look at the screen when I hit the power button, it's like the display shorts out or something, and only some of the lines for the word "on" appear, and then blink off. If I set it on the floor and turn it on and set the settings and don't pick it up, it works fine. But the second you even tilt it to scoop it up - game over. NOT okay, for 27 flipping dollars, only being 4 months old, and a 5 yr old who has come to rely on this as his lifeline when the lights are out. As a single parent, I'd even say I'm beginning to feel a sense of panic over this thing taking a crap. I hate to have to reduce my initial rating, but this was more than just a fun lamp for this family. It became vital for peace of mind and sleep.Sorry, lamp company. You did a great job with the shape clarity which was a big deal to me, but doing this weird thing of shutting off when you touch it - I'm pretty ticked I blew almost $30 of very precious Christmas money on this.got this for my son after the sound box I got him at birth finally punked out. That sucker lasted 5 years and right before it died, my son's fear of the dark was rapidly worsening. I had to leave the hall light on, and his door wide open. My apartment is tiny so one light on illuminates the whole place. I'd seen lamps like these before and the pictures they projected were super blurry, creepy, didn't cast about the entire room...you get it. I researched the daylights out of these because of that.I think I looked for about 2 months. All I ran into was exactly the norm...blurry and creepy. OR it didn't play music and that was a deal breaker. Finally I came across the right version of this one. There were a lot that looked similar but weren't this lamp. People thankfully posted videos so I could see the clarity of the shapes. I liked what I saw so I got it. I was pretty impressed with the actual thing. Animals or astronauts (which looked creepy to me but that astronaut one is his favorite, go figure). Obviously you're not getting a crisp outline because it's projecting all around, but you can very easily discern what everything is without feeling like you have an astigmatism when you look at it.I don't like having my bedroom door shut and once we got this, the hall light went off and I can almost shut his door all the way. HUGE improvement. He also isn't getting up multiple timed anymore so this really resolved much more for us than your average family. When you combine colors, you start losing a lot of the shape clarity and it's gone altogether when you choose to have the light color consistently change. He runs the damn thing around the clock so we'll see how long it lasts. Plays some christmas tunes which is sorta weird but my son doesn't care. I've also had to turn it down, because this thing can go pretty loud for it's size and purpose.Super recommend, unless it punks out in 3 months, in which case I'll be back to edit this! Otherwise, literally changed the nights in my household so I'm relieved.

I've tried two star projectors- this one is better!!
The media could not be loaded. EDIT: BOUGHT a 2nd one because it's that good! Makes GREAT gifts!!My kids LOVE the stars and the moon. I've tried several ways to incorporate stars into their room. We've tried the glow in the dark stickers, and I've tried another star projector (had less bells and whistles). This one is the better of the two and the one I will be keeping.Pros:- remote control- I can control everything from the bed. We have the stars up high on a shelf because the projections are more clear that way. It's easier to use the remote.- More options than the other one I purchased (this one has two scenes- Fish + Stars), has music, Has an on and off switch. The only way to turn my other projector off was to unplug it.- Music- the kids like the tunes. Not too loud. Calming effect- The moon is large (my kids are obsessed with the moon)- Colors: My kids LOVE the colors. There is an option where all the colors can be displayed at once and it's fun pointing out the blue fish, or the green moon. The stars can also twinkle, which is a nice touch. This is also a good way to make it educational.- the simple nightlight is useful for the nighttime, you can change the colors of the nightlight as wellCons:- The other star projector did not have clear edges and this one is the same way. Your best bet is to put it high on a shelf near to where you are. After trying out two projectors, I realize there's probably no easy way to fix this. It's a small little lamp so you can only clearly display the stars so much.Sleep: Honestly I do not recommend this as a tool to help sleep. It becomes a prop and if your kid wakes up and the stars are not there, toddlers can throw a fit about it. I recommend using this as a fun activity, a reward, a tool for quality time.Overall: My 7 month old and two year old LOVE it. One of her favorite activities is to read under the stars. You need to be in a dark room because it will NOT work if there is a window that does not have curtains. Typically kids go to bed early (or they should) so keep that in mind. The sun is your enemy with these projectors.
