Alot of Food for the price!
I have 4 tanks & was going thru fish food quit fast & was paying a lot more compared to this new product I'm trying out. I read the reviews about how it made some people's tanks cloudy & that happened to me too & then I did a 40% water change & cut back the amount of food I put in there. It's very easy to give them too much and over feed them so be careful not to do that watch how much they eat and then stop. Since then my tank is crisp and clear and fish the food. They also seem happy & more colorful.

amazing food!
nothing more to sum it up besides amazing! the 1mm size makes it perfect for my young cichlids and even some of my adults as well. they sink slowly allowing for all of the food to be eaten. it also brought out a lot of the color in my fish and doesn't cloud up the water. I would recommend this to anyone that has small cichlids. great price for such a large amount of food!

Mbuna cichlids love it
My 15 Juvenile Mbuna Cichlids love this stuff. I have 5 yellow labs, 5 Pombo rocks, and 5 red Zebras. Their color is amazing and they are growing rapidly. I notice some of the pellets sink, and some float, which is totally fine. Makes the fish work for their food. I have pool filter sand as my substrate and the pellets that the fish dont catch just sit on top of the sand and is easily gobbled up by them later.Highly recommended. I do also supplement once or twice a week with spirulina based flakes, but would have no problem just doing this food 100% of the time. A lot of guys on the cichlids forums only use these pellets and have had great success with their fish. The container is huge too and will last quite a long time. MUCH cheaper doing it this way than buying the overpriced stuff at your LFS.

Seems like a quality product
It is really hard to judge the quality of fish food. I have been using this food now for about 6 weeks for my Lake Malawi Cichlids. I bought this on the recommendations of several in the cichlid forums and elsewhere. The food seems good to me. My fish seem to really like it and are much more aggressive to get it than they were for the cichlid pellets that I used previously. The ingredients seem better to me and are probably healthier for my fish than what I was feeding. My previous food would cause some of my fish to sort of look like they had bloated bellies, and that has gone away with this food while still keeping the fish looking healthy. This product can be fed to large and small cichlids as they break up easily. The price here on Amazon was really reasonable and it was a nice sized container (600g). It should last me a while and I have about 30 fish. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I was expecting (based upon comments from others) that the color of my fish would "pop" more with this food and that has not been the case. I would say that it did not make much difference at all in terms of the coloration of my fish. If there really was a change, I would say the coloration reduced, but I really do not see much difference if at all. My colorful males are still colorful. I hesitate even to say this because it is so hard to know what causes conditions in an aquarium. Overall I am happy with the purchase and will continue to use this product.Just for reference, I have kept multiple aquariums for many years, but stopped for a few years as my kids were young and my time was limited. I am getting back into it recently, and getting sucked into the hobby again. It is fun. I will update if anything changes as I get more experience with this food.

Simply the best
I've been feeding New Life Spectrum for years. The fact is, the fish live longer (much longer, in fact. I have some 10 year old Africans with expected lifespans of 3-5 years!), they are beautifully colored, they breed prolifically and are very active. I had been buying this from a local fish store, but when I went to get more I found they were closed! I tried several other stores, including chain stores, and couldn't find it. I fed the best food I could find, and within a couple of days noticed a decrease in activity and coloration in my fish. There was a LOT less social activity (such as chasing, dancing, and other things the various breeds I keep in various aquariums do). I quickly ordered NLS off of Amazon and saw everything perk back to life. The bottom line is folks; bar none, no exceptions, there's not a better food. The biggest proof, is checking any club, internet forum, or aquarium show where you'll have hobbyists in the know who have done it for years. They all feed New Life Spectrum. Period.

Great food but it doesn't sink like it used to
This is the best food on the market and I would give it five stars EXCEPT half of the pellets don't sink anymore. This has never been a problem in the past so I am not sure if I got a bad batch or they changed something. Its a pain because those floating pellets need to be scooped out or they will go right down my filter

My Cichlids looking better!!
I've been feeding my Cichlids New Life Spectrum for the past two weeks. I gotta say this food is doing so much in so little time compared to the Tetra color enhancing crisps. I decided to upgrade to better food for the reason that I wanted more color and more healthier fish. I noticed that my cichlid colors are more vibrant and they seem more energetic. As for people saying that their cichlid dislike the food idk why, I switched and my fish scarf it down like if they haven't ate for weeks. I recommend giving them this pellet food for cichlids under 4 inches since it isn't that big. Also to feed them flake food "Spirulina 20" is my choice since it has good ingredients that cichlids need and also treats like frozen brine shrimp (helps enhance color naturally). I use this as my staple food for my African Peacocks, electric yellows, damasoni, johanni, flamebacks, compressiceps, clown loaches, rainbow sharks, kribensis, and convicts. Overall I recommend New Life Spectrum to anyone trying to show off their cichlids by enhancing color and health.

Perfect everyday pellets for small cichlids
Despite what others said, it does NOT make the water cloudy. I love the size of the pellets, even medium/big fry can enjoy them. All of my fish love this food, herbivores as well as omnivores, it fits any mouth, any Cichlid and that’s a very good product. Highly recommended.

The fish (African mbunas) do not like this food
The fish (African mbunas) do not like this food. I have had nls in the past for marine and it was excellent but no good for Africans.
