Lifeless with fewer prospects
I have bought Bowman Chrome Hobby boxes for years and really looked forward to this year's selection that contained many great young stars but my two boxes ran flat. Not only did we have to wait longer for the release, the cards took a step back in its design and quality. The inserts didn't fail us but the rest looked dull and lifeless with little color. It was just two years ago that we got 18 packs but now we get only 12 and for a higher cost. I remember buying two boxes and getting most of the top prospects. In this year's break, I got very few. 2017 Topps Bowman Chrome Hobby box will not increase a shrinking audience rather, it will help push collectors away. This purchase is too costly for too little return. It is just not worth it. There is no fun in reaching this conclusion that use to be so much fun not so long ago!
