Does the dslogic plus come with a complete set of cables, i..e shielded fly wires 16 shielded flywires + grounds?

It comes with a full set. They are grouped into four on one plug. Each group is color coded in order that the software has, but to maintain the full order you need to plug them accordingly. The clips can then be plugged into the wire ends if needed.

Have i missed something? no analog channels? guess saleae has spoiled me.

This product is about high number of digital logic channels. If you need analog, then you want an oscilloscope. They offer one of those also.

Does it come with software? If so what software?

The software is a free download; DSView. Plenty of YouTube videos on use and setup. There is an alternate generic software available from Sigrok; Pulseview: better features such as stacking decoders(big user generated library for decoders already written by other people). Both work for capture and seeing triggers, data, or bussed data. The second choice has better options for layering decoding the data. Eg: Decode USB signal, then decoder for mouse data to directly display or output mouse position data.

Can I use this to measure and log the period between each pulse and the next for a 500khz signal for 1 million signals in a row?

Yes. The data can be exported to a file and analyzed. Read the maual.
