Almost perfect. The 180° viewing angle is superb a bit slow
Almost perfect. The 180° viewing angle is superb. I wasn’t expecting it to be this good. I just wished it started recording sooner after it detected motion from the Passive Infrared sensor. The app for the iPhone is a bit clunky and unintuitive. Fix these things and you’ll have a sure winner.========== Update Dec 15, 2017 ==========The device is too slow to record after detecting motion. Perhaps have it start recording the instant motion is detected or at least have it recording continuously in a 3 second loop that can be added to the 10 second recording when an event occurs so you can see what happened just before the event. There are children in my apartment that like to ring the doorbell and run but the camera doesn’t catch them in the act they also steal packages left at my door. If they can run pass my door and grab the package, the camera would not catch them. Please update the app for iPhone X, and also figure out a way to make the app more intuitive and more aesthetically pleasing. The app doesn’t look like I spent $300+ on the hardware.

Worked one week with PIR, then totally dead at 16 days... this morning it decided to work.
Worked for a week. Then it quit sounding alarm and capturing pictures. So the PIR is not working. It doesn’t notice anybody at the door. You can manually look who is there, even over WiFi. My advise is avoid this company. Many other companies make devices that will let you view who is at your door, with PIR, and they work. A waste of almost $300 when an inexpensive Wyze cam will do more than this from a front window.Update on Nov 10, 2018: After just 2 weeks and 2 days this is totally dead. I had thought I'd still keep it because returning might be an issue and I was still able to access it from my iPhone and it still did contact my phone if anyone pressed the doorbell button and allowed me to see and talk to them. The PIR function wasn't as important since I have other security. But now that it does absolutely nothing it is a total waste of time and effort.Update on Nov 12, 2018: It decided to work this morning sounding alarms on my phone for the PIR, with recording. I'm thinking the problem with the device is the connection between the base and the peephole. Since both are mounted on your door, I'm thinking that opening and closing the door jimmies the connection between the two units. It isn't all that secure when you install, barely clicking in place. But the purpose of the device is security, so part time functionality is not an option. I'd be more than happy to have this device in the future if they come up with a better connector... something that actually feels like it clicks securely into place.

Looks good, but needs some improvement.
This product has potential. I love the look of the product, both the screen and the external portion - the look of it externally was the big part of making my purchase since so many of the other similar products look so unattractive. I do agree that the video/picture capturing process needs to be improved - not sure if this can be done via a software update, or if it's a hardware limitation. I have mine set to record a few seconds of video when triggered and a lot of times I am only seeing people as they are walking away from my door as they cross in front of it. Fingers crossed for an upcoming FW update that will resolve this issue.

Ok product that still need improvements
The reason i gave this product a 3 star is because there are some issues exist:1. The 3 bolt sizes that came with it, either too long or too short for my door, so i need to add something to fill up the gap.2. If someone stop by the door, the camera shots don't show clear picture of the person's face. You won't be able to recognize the person.3. The app is not reliable, sometimes it will go offline for no reason and the alarm message time is different from the real time alarm triggered.

Abysmal customer service, Was working fine BUT DOESN’T work now. NO SUPPORT.
Not working now. No support at all.I bought this in May. It WAS a great product. WAS happy with it an recommended all my friends. It WAS a great way to ensure security of my home because of how it sent me notifications and captured videos to my smart phone.But on 7 Oct 2018, it crashed into oblivion. The app permenantly shows that VIEU is OFFLINE, even though the device is connected. This means that I get ZERO notifications and capture of suspicious videos like I got before.I tried contacting the company but realized there was no way to do so. NO phone, email is UNRESPONSIVE, submission to their customer support met with SILENCE.My suspicion is that the backend server and systems has some problem now and can’t interface with the app. But without the interface with the app, the doorbell’s security drops to ground level because any break in can just simply take away device.UpdateMy Eques was firstly spoilt, and there was no help to resolve it. Then when the whole unit became totally unusable, the company suggested a replacement which was right and I appreciated. Then, I was told it was shipped out and I was just waiting to get a tracking no. Later, no news for one week and when I sent an email to ask, you told me that there was no stock and it wasn’t shipped out so the department gave me a refund. I didn’t want a refund. I wanted a working unit. That’s a very simple and reasonable request. I found out later that there was stock indeed, clearly on Amazon. Thereafter, without addressing that, I was told that Amazon’s is a different warehouse, there was no stock and to go buy it myself again. Essentially telling me to solve my own problem with the device and the mistake your warehouse department made. I asked for the reason why there wasn’t stock, was it because the model is discontinued but you didn’t reply me. How can I have confidence that the new unit will have subsequent units for replacement of it fails again? What if I buy it again and the unit is a defective one again?Then I found out that the price had changed. I bought it at full price without discount and now I’m expected to pay more for a unit with no guarantees it will work, with no idea whether the company is going to continue producing the units or not, without knowing whether firmware issues will be resolved.In summary, I think Eques Vieu is a great concept, the technology is there, and all it needs is a bit more stability and constant upgrades. However, I think your business processes and customer recovery procedures have a very long way to go. I was a big fan of the product.Now after going through all the trouble. In essence, I have an unusable unit, I have to buy a new one at a higher price with no guarantees it will work, or my door is left spoilt because I drilled it specifically to fit the Eques Vieu.This is a case in point of how an outstanding technology and product concept is ruined by its business process and how it treats its customers.
