More the End of the Beginning....
After finishing Volume Four the feeling is that I have just read the introduction to the work the author really wanted to write. The characters and world have been introduced and now the serious work is to begin, but the book ends before that point -- making this more a "slice of life" than a heroic epic.Pros: the author has a fine touch on discussing her world so that the plot flows along without dying of "Death By Exposition". The characters are interesting and likable, the Astrals are fun without being cute, and the art is striking without being cluttered.Cons: The Author calls a "Time Out!" on the Sohrem Menace Plot Line and leaves it for the next cycle of books (if she ever writes them!). This is disappointing as is the fact that the main characters are saved by the adults. After four books I was hoping for something more "heroic" rather than reasonable... This is why I give it a solid "4 stars" instead of five.

Great series for teens
I ordered this and it was the wrong number. My kid already had it. But he loves the series. Graphic novels are a great way to get kids to read who normally loathe reading.

Svetlana never fails to amaze me. The world created is beautifully drawn as well as captivating. I first discovered her works because of Dramacon Ultimate Edition and have since became a huge fan! I love her art as well as the stories she comes up with. Although this is the end of this arc I hear there is a new arc in development that makes me extremely excited. The story itself ties up really nicely in the final volume along with a few extras from the creator afterwords. The story not only finishes the current arc but begins a nice setup for the next arc. If you like any of her previous work or enjoy stories that don't take themselves too seriously this is a series to pick up!

... ending seemed a little rushed but otherwise it’s a good manga.

Cool comic
This is the concluding volume (4th of 4) of the story. Exciting, great characters, lots of fun. Beautiful manga style art by a westerner. The final wrap up of the story, where we find out who is what, what's going on, and how they get theirs!

interesting
I bought this book for my little brother, upon obtaining the package I found writting and several small tears in book. I hold no anger but slight annoyance in the matter as I paid for this item to be new yet I recieved a slightly used copy.

Was this the end? Uhm...
Well, this series has endend... Uhm, maybe not...There are so many questions left unaswered at the end and the author wrote that she planned to write more about the world she had created.Well, in volume #3 I finally started to understand what was going on with this series. It took me long enough but I guess it also depends on the complexity of the world created by Čmakova: she put so many ingredients in the first two volumes that it was very difficult to get one's bearings while reading.I don't know, in the beginning I thought the Alex was going to be the main protagonist because she was searching for her missing sister. But Alex is only a small cog in a much bigger system.Anyway. In this volume the readers finds out some answers: where's Alex's sister, for example. What happened with the Seer and who were the other Hunters. But I'm not sure that it's enough. There are as many questions with no answers at all. A bit disappointing.Čmakova's art is excellent, as usual. It gets a bit confused on the fighting scene, but otherwise I absolutely love her way of drawing.Looking forward to more of her works.
