I bought a set of these for my 2 young boys, and to say the least I am amazed. They normally get bored with toys after about a month. Let me tell you. They got these on Christmas, it is now July. They play with them every single day. A variety of shapes, sizes, and colors to keep them occupied. Endless hours of fun and creativity for all ages. In fact after they went to bed my husband and I built a huge zoo for them as a surprise. I also love the fact that it is open ended play. They are very durable, my kids throw them, "destroy" thier builds with villains and trucks and they are still in great shape. I love them so much that we have bought several sets of these. If you want your kids to be creative without a huge mess and something that will entertain them daily, I highly suggest you get them a set of these.

There weren't a lot of reviews on this but I took a chance since they were on sale. They arrived quickly. For the price, I like the amount that you get, though I ended up getting two anyway because I have more than one kid. The colors are a bit lighter than what is shown on the box, slightly more pastel. They seem great for boys and girls. Even I was having fun testing them out. I am looking forward to seeing how my children play with them. I know they will come up with things that I haven't anticipated. I especially loved the examples on the box for forming them into letters and numbers and will give that a shot, since both of my children are pre-school age.Pros: The magnets are stronger than I expected, and the pieces can be crafted and contorted into lots of wacky creations. They are able to lift a fair amount attached with a single rod to a ball joint. The balls are about 1,5 inches in diameter.Cons: If you have a builder who gets frustrated when things fall down or don't stay put, you might not want anything like this. I think that's a factor for any building set that uses spheres as joints. The pieces will slide around and might squish a bit, even if they don't come off. That makes them fun if you are doing it on purpose, not so much if you are. The balls also have a divide all the way around. I'm not sure why, that wasn't clear in the picture, but they don't seem like they will unscrew. The pieces are a very lightweight plastic. They feel cheaper just because they are so lightweight, but I think that makes sense for why the magnets work so well. A few pieces, may two total from both sets, had a smudge of glue on them and one rod had what looked like tool marks impressed in the plastic. Not a big deal really.Things to be aware of: The packaging was surprising. The rods and bends came in two large, separate packages. The balls, inexplicably, came individually wrapped. If giving this as a gift to someone short on patience, I might recommend opening everything up first since opening 12 little baggies is a bit cumbersome. There isn't any kind of case for the set either.

They work better to make flat pictures. Even with all the magnets in it collapses just as easily as some of the other magnet kits. The blocks are bigger than the other kits we have so not able to mix and match.

This is one of the toys that kept my son busy for HOURS! Love the whole set. Good quality tiles.

We purchased this and another magnetic tiles set from a different company to compare them. With a couple of minor exceptions, the performed similarly. By itself, this set contains enough tiles to build several things. Since the two sets turned out to be compatible, they together have provided hours of fun with our granddaughter. We recommend this set!

We are provided a (small) set of the name brand tiles but I supplemented with this set, and the students always gravitate toward the pieces from this. They work interchangeably with the name brand and have held up to the abuse from 20 5-year-olds. I ordered another set for my 5yo nephew and he loves them too. I'm very impressed with the quality for the price!
