Awesome Star Wars Book for K-2nd graders
The is a great book that kept my 7 year old's attention. He was able to read it with no assistance. It was great since we had literally just watched A New Hope the day before. The book has nice pictures and was able to tell the story using words that a K-2 grader would be able to read and understand. I highly recommend this book to any child that is getting into star wars.

The first Star Wars movie in a Lego book, easy enough for kids to understand the main parts of the story. I think that these books will be the enablers to read for my son (at the age of 4). He can basically quote every page now.

My 2 y.o. son loves playing with my actual Lego Star Wars toys so this was a perfect addition. Now he asks me to read these books to him. I shed a tear as the proud dad of a future Star Wars nerd. Interestingly, Episodes IV, V, and VI are in different difficulty levels of reading ranging from learning to read to reading alone. This makes it hard to read through the whole original trilogy since they don't contain the same level of text/picture ratio. I would have preferred to have them all the same level but that's just my personal preference.

Got this for my year old nephew who is learning to read. He loved it! I never saw a kid so excited to get a book. He loves Legos and Star Wars and was excited that he could sit down and read this himself. The book was in great condition with colorful pages.

Great Introduction/Review of the New Hope
Great prelude to watching the film as it helps your child know the characters, events and locations beforehand so they don't keep asking questions during the movie itself: no need to pause the film every time they get confused. Also a great review if at the end of the movie your child is still confused on what's going on and you can explain to them with the book instead of rewinding. The book goes into brief detail of characters/group of characters, major plot points and locales in the movie:Welcome to TatooineWar in the GalaxyMeet the RebelsVader's PrisonersDriods to the Rescue! On Tatooine AgainHidden JediNew RecruitRescue OperationA Great SacrificeSpace BattleDeath Star DestroyedCelebrationEach subject is within the span of 2 pages with easy to read jumbo text with related Lego characters, ships, buildings, etc displayed. There's a Glossy at the end of the book for additional infoThe book, although very short, has good photographic shots of legos on each page. The MSRP of $4 is pretty steep though unless you want your kids to be invested in the Star Wars universe, since the construction feels more like pamphlet or mini comic in design. So unless you want your kid to become fan, I'd pick it up at half the price when it goes on sale (which I did)

4 year old loves it!
My 4-year-old daughter is obsessed with Star Wars (even though she has never seen the movies) and LOVES this book. We have to read it almost every night. We've now purchased the other two books (LEGO Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi), but this one is her favorite. Gives a good, age-appropriate overview of the plot that will help her understand what's going on when she's old enough to see the movie.

Very good quality book
Very good quality book, and very fast shipping. My son loves starwars and so this was great for him. Keep in mind it is laid out like a comic book and not a regular book so that was a surprise for us. It is also part of a series which had I known I would have purchased the first book and not started in the middle.

This is great for small children
This is great for small children. My 3 year old son and 4 year old daughter both enjoyed this. The story is pretty faithful despite being heavily abridged (it needs to fit into a 'bedtime story' timeframe after all) and the print is a good size for children learning to read. The quality is fine for a paperback, especially at the price of less than a pint down the pub. They've both asked for it again...
