Kapaxen Rapid Battery Charger Kit for BP-709 / BP-718 / BP-727 / BP-745 Battery (CG-700) for Canon Select Camcorders

Having used, for a few years, the model of 3rd party battereis that do NOT communicate with my camera the next time I bought replacement batteries I picked the model that DOES communicate with the camera. I like that model much better. Also, because I sometimes shoot all day away from a power source I bought 2 extra chargers so I wouldn't have to wait half a day to swap depleted batteries out of and into one charger. Now I can charge all 4 of my batteries at once and be fully ready for the next day of recording.What I like about this charger is they work reasonably fast. I made a receptacle onto an extension cord that holds all 4 chargers and I get all 4 of my batteries charged quickly and conveniently. This charger will charge both the non communicating batteries as well as the ones that do communicate with the camera. A red LED light tells me when the battery terminals are touching and the battery is in the process of charging and the same light turns green when the charge is completed.

When I first got my Vixia 500, it took about five and a half hours to charge the battery through the camera. This charger can do it much faster...about 2 hours. I bought the Kapaxen BP-727 battery as well and it works great too. The other nice thing about this particular charger is that it is a whole lot smaller than the one that came with the Cannon video camera. You also have the ability to charge it in the car and it comes with a European travel adapter. I say use this one and leave the one that came with your camera at home. Much more convenient, portable, and it works well. This was actually recommended to me by a videographer who uses the same equipment. You can't beat the price too.

It's lite, it's snug and it charges the batteries at a good rate indeed. Love that it has a car charger and the price with 2 Kapaxen BP-727 Intelligent Batteries are better than just one Canon Intelligent battery. It might feel a bit cheap, but this charger is better for your batteries than charging straight from the camera.

Works really good. I'm able to charge my batter BP-718 for my canon Vixia HF R400. The battery plug on the camera broke. I'm so happy I came across this option using the Kapaxen Rapid battery charger kit I'm able to charge the battery itself. It saved me from buying a whole new camera.

It accomplishes it's purpose. I really did not want to have to plug the camera in anymore to charge a battery and this does the trick. I don't know if it qualifies as rapid or not, because it takes quite a while to charge a battery, but I am not expert so maybe that is normal. It charges faster than the camera for sure.

I was hesitant about buying after market, but after research and reading reviews, I made the purchase... I have had no problems what so ever with this and it still is performing as it did brand new !

Got this when I lost my Nikon Charger and it does seem to work.

I haven't used this a whole lot but so far so good.
