Engineered Products 16540 Motion Sensing LED Closet Luminaire 120 Volt White

This may well be the most useless product I've ever purchased. The instruction sheet comes in Spanish on one side and French on the other. There are features listed in English in various scattered places on the box. In one place it states that it can be mounted on the ceiling or the wall. My outlet was on the wall, so that's where it was mounted. It doesn't work when the door is opened, even though that's within sight of the motion detector. When I thrust my hand into the closet and wave it around, it still doesn't work. I had to take things out of the closet and stand on the opposite side for it to work - not exactly practical. And sure enough, when I called the service technician he said it has to be mounted in a walk-in closet or on the opposite wall. Of course, the opposite side of a closet is ridiculous. The items in the closet would be blocking it. They are willing to take it back but refused to pay the cost of an electrician to move it to the ceiling or even to remove it so I can send it back. It costs less for me to just leave the useless thing there. So beware, don't buy this unless you can put it where your door is within its extremely narrow range.

Great item. Just what I was looking for since Scott on Ask This Old House showed a wired fixture that was LED and motion sensitive. I had a plug-in one in my closet, but wasn't a good lighting source. This one is bright and lights the closet really well. My only thing is I would have liked to be able to adjust the time after a vacancy. This one goes 3 mins.
