Kawany HDMI to RCA Cable, HDMI to RCA Converter Adapter Best Buy Audio Extractor Jacks Cord

I was eagerly anticipating getting this cable so I could hook up my SNES classic mini to one of my older TVs that do not have HDMI, but when I plugged everything in, all I get is a loud buzzing sound, and nothing else. I did buy this seeing reviews claiming the same issue, but I also saw many claiming to have no issues. I also tested the cable with one of my blu-ray players, thinking maybe it was an issue with the SNES classic, but had the same issue with 2 blu-ray players as well.

Even though the questions answered say this will allow you to hook your VCR/DVD player to a new smart TV, don't believe it. It does not work. I had my suspicions but took a chance. If you think about it, how would a mere cord change an analog signal to a digital one. You need a converter. Period. There is no easy fix. It sent neither audio nor video to my TV.

NOT HAPPY! I thought I was going to be able to use this cable to hook up an 1997 Sony big screen TV to my laptop. That didn't happen so I tried on 2 different smart TV's and still nothing. I then went back and started reading the 27 reviews on this product to make sure I'm not missing something and I noticed something peculiar. Out of the 27 reviews only 3 were "verified purchases" and guess what, they were all negative, well Kawany here is your 4th. Also noticed that most of the positive reviews just have "Amazon Customer" and no name to their postings. Come on, we gotta do better than this, sending back for a refund and moving on.

I have a video projector but it does not have an HDMI cable, just RCA cables. So, I bought this so i could hook up the Amazon Fire unit to it as well as a Blu-Ray/DVD player. It simply does not work. There is "NO SIGNAL" coming through the cable. I bought it, but my items were out at the lake, so it took me a few weeks to go out and try it. I never thought it would be a defective product or a product that just doesn't work, so i didn't rush to try it out. I'd avoid this product as you're just throwing your money away.

DOES NOT WORK. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. Thankfully I am able to get a refund. When connected you are unable to hear sound or view a picture. I feel terrible writing such negative review but it's the truth.

Does not work - laptop doesn't even detect the cable is attached. As an electrical engineer, I should have known better...shame on me.

Despite having the perfect application for this cable, they did not work at all for my new Blue Ray player. My old Blue Ray (with red/white RCA audio ports) was getting noisy so I bought a new Blue Ray, which has an HDMI audio port. At the other end of the cable I plugged in only the red and white RCA jacks into a component switch for my headphones. The component switch allows me to choose which component I am using the headphones for, TV or Blue Ray, and worked perfectly well with the old Blue Ray. This cable did not provide the audio signal from the new Blue Ray. Very disappointed.

Didn't work for connecting my laptop to my tv. Plus there weren't any instructions for the color coding of the component cable outputs, but I tried every possible combination, all with same result: no signal. With at least one in four buyers reporting that this doesn't work, it needs to have a big red flag on it.
