You’ll need an adapter for UAE but they don’t tell you nor guide you
Good blender. But although it is sold by a UAE seller, it is not suitable for use within UAE unless you get an adapter which is not mentioned here which one you need nor mentions that you will need one overall. Bought mine and bought an adapter from a store. Motor burnt on first use. And I as a costumer did not get compensated about this after contacting the seller, when no mention of adapters is made on this page whatsoever.

Not the best choice for a smoothie blender . . .
Let me begin by saying I did not purchase this to make smoothies. We have a NutriBullet for that. I'm a guy who bakes and cooks with allulose sweetener instead of sugar or artificial sweeteners. The holidays are coming and many of my recipes are going to call for powdered/confectioner's sugar. That form of allulose is insanely expensive ($10-$20+/lb here on Amazon.com), and I buy granulated allulose wholesale in 25 kg bags for less than $5/lb even with shipping from the East Coast to CA. So I needed something to grind the allulose into powder form. The NutriBullet doesn't work for this, because the blender needs to be shaken while ginding. So looking for a hand-held capable device, I came across this kitchen tool, and purchased a "used-like new" device for more than $7 less than a new one, and figured I would give it a try. I could always return it if necessary as a Prime member. It was delivered in less than 24 hours. When I unboxed it, the item had obviously been taken out of the box, but it also looked like it had never been used either. On first glance, this seems a little bit like a kid's toy (perhaps the reason it was returned). It is lightweight, and the motor base won't do well if it gets knocked off the counter, but it's not a toy. It's a pretty decent blender. I was able to powder about 5 lbs of allulose in 3/4 cup batches in about 35 minutes. I did have to shake the blender nearly horizontally, but it did exactly what I needed it to do.I would probably not recommend this item as a "portable" blender for making smoothies or other beverages, because it is a corded tool. There are any number of others in about the same price class that offer rechargeable battery power, which means you could take them to a park, the beach, or anywhere you didn't have access to a 120vac outlet. Most also offer blender jars with screw-on lids and bases. Here are the pros and cons:PRO: (1) low price, (2) high-speed motor, (3) thick-wall blender jar, (4) reasonably easy to clean, (5) friction-fit top doubles as a travel mug spout nol likely to come off accidentally or leak (but the sliding closure is not leakproof), (6) the blender jar locks fairly securely into the motor base, and (7) the power cord wraps neatly into a slot for this purpose built into the motor base.CON: (1) corded, not portable to a location without AC power, (2a) the blade assembly is integral to the blender jar and cannot be disassembled for cleaning (2b) if the blade or blender jar breaks, you might as well throw the whole thing in the trash, (3) the motor base is not likely to survive being knocked off the counter, it's pretty lightweight plastic, (4) the friction-fit blender jar lid does not come off easily . . . ladies, you are highly likely to break a fingernail trying if not careful (watch the comparison video with the NutriBullet and you'll see how the demonstrator struggles a bit with taking the lid off the empty jar -- imagine doing this with a full jar . . . the manufacturer's video doesn't even show this step, which ought to be a clue).I rated this 4-stars because it is a capable blender. It will make smoothies and other blended beverages. But I think there are a number of better choices at about the same price point for a new item. I simply opted for the 33% discount because it met my objective. If you, like I, have a need for a larger capacity grinder for spices, grains, seeds, or nuts, this should work well for that. But if your objective is something portable to make smoothies, I would look elsewhere.

Great, but not big enough
Not much to say here. It blends well. Don't expect heavy duty work, but it'll mix a smoothie ok. It didn't like ice, but it'll pulverize a frozen strawberry, as long as it's not too big.I do wish the jar was bigger. 14oz sounds like it's enough for one smoothie, but I generally want more, since it's a meal replacement for me usually. My biggest complaint is the lid. It doesn't like to go on all the way, and once you get it on, it doesn't want to come back off without force, which can get messy if it's full. What's really wrong with it is the little sliding part that moves so you can drink from it. Inside, it's got a plastic piece that gets stuff under it, and it's very hard to get clean. I suppose if you ran it through the dishwasher, that would work ok, but I don't know since I don't have a dishwasher, and not everyone does. I clean it right away after blending, and I don't travel with it so I don't use the lid for that, but I wonder what I missed a what may be getting in my food.

CAN GET A LITTLE MESSY DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU BLEND
So I have been using this item for a couple weeks now and I have nothing bad to say about it. However, I do feel that it can be a little messy at times. For my particular blender (because I am not sure if this was an issue for other people), when I blend my coffee, it ends up foaming a lot more than it should and it almost overflows spilling all over the all over the cap making it stick and messy to clean up. I found two ways to work around this issue. The first is the cover up the small hole on the cap of the cup (it is on the slider that opens and closes the drinking hole) and the second way and blending slowly. By blending slowly, I mean tapping the blend button until it gets to a point where you are able to blend by just holding the button instead of tapping it. Even still, it does tend to overflow just a little bit, but I am okay with this. I would look for a cap for this blending that actually closes properly when blending so that the air that enters the blender doesn't allow it to spill (hence why i have to cover up the small hole which allows air into the blending causing the drink to overflow onto the cap).
