We got this because my partner and I had gotten addicted to how much smoother french press coffee is. We had it from my MIL's french press and weren't thrilled with the taste from the coffee pot after. It works great! It is easy to use and take apart for cleaning and makes the perfect amount of two cups so we both can get our morning caffeine fix. 10/10 highly recommend!! And if you haven't had coffee this way before I definitely recommend trying it!!

Works great

I purchased three of these: one to replace my Bodum (which was beginning to wear out and was not properly filtering the grounds); and two additional presses to give to some friends who, after tasting my coffee brewed in a French press, raved at the fantastic flavor. The Ovente does an excellent job, overall, and is considerably cheaper than most. The mesh filter is finer and softer than the Bodum and, consequently, does a very good job of preventing the coffee grounds from passing through to your cup. It is also very light and ergonomically comfortable to handle. Nonetheless, I believe the design could be improved by NOT gluing the glass beaker to the plastic holder. If the beaker were removable, it would be much easier to wash it, either by hand or in the dishwasher.My biggest complaint, however, is that of the three I ordered, two arrived with manufacturing defects. The base of one of the glass beakers was shattered; and the beaker of another was glued in such a manner that the pouring "spout" was out of alignment and poured off to one side. It was obvious that the defects did not occur in transit (both items were well-packed in their own individual boxes in addition to the Amazon shipping container). I returned the two that were defective and, of course, had no trouble whatsoever with Amazon. But be warned: if you purchase one of these, sight unseen, there is a possibility you might have to return it due to manufacturing defects.

Dislike that is has a charging cable rather than electric plug. LOVE the sturdiness of the carafe and pours nicely. Very easy to clean!

It's small, but perfect for me. I don't have a lot of space for something big, and it's perfect to make my cold brew concentrate every couple of days. I haven't used it for tea, but I imagine it would be great with loose tea too. Very easy to use, and simple to clean.

The top isn't as secure as it should be and it doesn't push all the way down like maybe they put the wrong size part with it.

This is beautiful looking press, but unfortunately, not functional. It leaks each and every time, dribbling coffee everywhere. I’ve had so many presses over the years, and never had one that leaks like this. Completely disappointed.

After a few months, it cracked somewhere that I can't find and leaks like a sieve. Stay away!

Makes a great cup of coffee. Nice feel, size and weight. Good quality. I don't get any grounds in my cups of coffee. Makes approximately two large mugs of coffee. Enough for a family that are only occasional drinkers except me.

Arrived today. Nice looking and made a decent cup of coffee. Very light and parts seem quite flimsy compared to my stainless steel Icokee one for approximately same price. Advert showed 2 micro meshes but came with only one. Filters don't seem to sit square and tight on bottom, they appear somewhat tilted. Not sure if this is by design for some reason, or not.
