It's cheap, it's fun, it's a no brainer if you are looking for one for fun. Just add it to your cart as an add on and wait til your next order.I use it at school (i'm a school teacher). It is a much more fun way to get kids attention without the harshness of a PE style whistle. Plus, changing the tone confuses them into paying attention - hey whatever works!

Slightly less loud than the metal samba whistles, less harsh in a closed room.Easy to get the ball fluttering without having to over blow it

This is a plastic samba whistle. Sounds great for what it is and the price is very good.

Acceptible tone. All plastic except Pea, which should also be plastic not wood; I predict it will swell and become a problem. top of fipple too thin to incise a tooth depression, as one user suggested. Loudish, prefer louder, but have not used any other product.

It's a good volume. Not so loud that you feel you need ear protection, but loud enough to carry. If you need earsplitting volume (to be heard over a lot of drums), then go with a metal one.

I bought one and loved it! Then I thought I lost it so i bought another. Now I have two! I keep them in my percussion box for the smaller children to play while we jam. They love them and they sound great!
