Sunplustrade 3-Inch Rollerblade Style Office Chair Caster Wheel Replacement, Black (Set of 5)

The item itself is good and works well... until it doesn't We had a roller go bad about 5 months after we bought it. I wrote to the seller to get this issue resolved. They stated that they stood behind their product and would need a photo submitted to them so that they could send me out a replacement roller. I sent them photos via email, never heard back. Sent two more emails after that following up on it. Never heard back. Terrible customer support. We have 5 chairs with these rollers on them, and all in all the item itself is not bad. They work well and are a great value, but the rating is really based on the fact that the seller ignored my emails after i sent them photo proof that one of the rollers fell apart and the bearing balls inside of it fell out all over the floor.

**UPDATE**I reached out to the seller. They (Toni) were very nice and issued me a full refund along with the below description. I'm changing my review to 3 stars. The wheels lasted 6 months and it is unfortunate they broke, but the lifetime warranty was honored very quickly. I'll probably give these wheels another try."It seems like the issue is from the top axle of the wheel not being tighten enough. To make these wheels, our manufacturer's staff will use a machine to tighten the wheels. Since the amount of pressure will determine how easy the wheels will roll and how much weight it can support, it needs to be tighten to the correct amount of pressure to prevent the wheels from breaking and to roll smoothly. Since the machines does not have a specific gauge to indicate the exact amount of pressure applied, sometimes the staff may apply too little pressure which may cause the wheels to prematurely break. Please remove all wheels and discard them since the wheels will start to break due to the uneven amount of pressure being applied to each wheel.The maximum weight is based on 5 wheels together. If 1 goes out, the other 4 wheels will not be able to handle the weight without the 5th one in place."**Original review**I purchased these for a Staple's executive big & tall chair to try and make it sit a bit higher. They did add height over the original casters and are much nicer looking. They do tend to roll when i don't want them to, if I scoot close to my desk and have some pressure on it, but that is to be expected. Today I happened to be talking to someone else in my office about the wheels when later I look down and see ball bearings all over the place. I flip the chair over to see a very damaged wheel, along with the rest of them looking to be in poor shape. I am well under the weight limit for these wheels. If there are indeed two versions of these wheels as others have said, I got the poor quality batch. Sent a message to the seller for the warranty replacement, hopefully the next set is better quality.

I purchased these on January 11th and received them on January 14th. I bought them for a roller stool I also purchased of Amazon.They fit and worked great till today April 3rd less 3 MONTHS later. I noticed today that the wheels seems sluggish and didn't want to spin properly. So I flipped the chair and pulled the wheels out. Imagine my surprise when they made a rattling noise like maraca!!!! Upon futher inspection many of the berrings are MISSING from the raceway.This is UNACCEPTABLE!! The wheels are less than 3 months old and the bearings are nowhere to be found so that means they disintegrated and broke into tiny pieces.I am thoroughly disgusted with this product! I see that others are having the same issue with the bearings. They supposedly have a Life Time Warranty but I have no idea how to contact SunPlusTrade as there are no links on the Amazon page and the package that the wheels arrived in has zero phone numbers.If I ever find a way to contact the seller and get them to honor the supposedly Life Time Warranty I'll raise my rating.

 Well at least they look pretty... sadly though, these wheels haven't lasted an entire week; they are already falling apart. The first thing to fail were the ball bearings; I have been finding them all over my office floor. The wheels no longer stand vertically; I imagine the lack of ball bearings makes the post unstable. I wanted to like them, but sadly they will be returned.********Updated on May 30, 3017Seller sent me a replacement set of casters as part of the lifetime warranty... they worked for about two weeks... they are failing again. I am throwing these in the garbage. AVOID!!!

Day one: easy to install. Two hours later, I'm picking up ball bearings.So overall, the idea of these wheels is a good one. Small price to pay for increased functionality over the original plastic wheels.In my case, I installed these wheels and one of them started spouting ball bearings the same afternoon. This means with many other reviewers complaining of the same issue at different lengths of time, that it is a production issue. I don't know if they lack quality control or random spot checks, but it is kind of dangerous to roll in a chair that 3 inches off the ground and suddenly lose that height and possibly your balance. Luckily that did not happen to me as other reviewers have stated, however, it is unacceptable to allow this to continually happen. My feeling is that Amazon should probably drop the vendor.

The wheels are very high quality and it totally solved my problem of unwanted "hair" that got in the wheels of my chair and prevented a nice smooth roll. Everyone I show them to is totally impressed and want some for themselves. Would this make a strange Christmas present? Maybe - but it really improves life a bit on something I use several hours a day. Because the wheels are so durable, I plan on using them to replace every office chair from here on out for years to come. From this day forward, I will never use the standard wheels that come with your typical office chair and I plan on purchasing more sets for other chairs here at the house and at the office.
