Way to bright!
Way to bright!!!! Purchased this as a reading light to use for reading in bed at night. Light was so bright on its lowest setting that it woke my wife up! Decided to use it in the shop for lighting up my work bench for detail carving work.

Great lamp. Love how its easy to move and has different settings to find or brighten. Very easy on off switch. Only thing. Is I hate how it hangs over my bed. I wished it was designed a little differently in the photo you can see it hangs into the bed quite a bit so have to be careful not to bump your head on it.

Our bedroom situation does not make a wall-mount possible for her. I found this on Amazon and, thanks to the previous reviews, decided to purchase it for her.It is much better than I expected. Simple to turn on and dim/brighten. It provides as much or as little light as you might need for reading a book (made with ink and paper - no built-in lighting) in bed. My side is an old style incandescent lamp with an adjustable elbow. Even though I have a modern bulb in it, I now want one of these for its dimming capabilities.

This is a great idea and easy to install
This is a great idea and easy to install; however, it didn't turn on or off as indicated. I would be willing to order another, but the ones available are all refurbished/used so don't want to take a chance.

Quality light!
It's a quality light but the cable is quite short to go from say a headboard to the floor, it needs another 12" or so. It is also very bright when it's first turned on. I bought this to be able to read without disturbing my wife and it's about like staring at the sun before it's dimmed. It defaults to its brightest setting when first turned on so 4 stars.

Super Duper Reading Light
Absolutely fantastic! Was easy to install, fit my wide bed backboard, and gives just wonderful light. Easy to move around to where you want the light.
