Think twice before buying this hammock --- tossing it in the garbage can -----
Update-- changed my rating to 3 from 1 due to the fact that the company was very helpful and return my payment within a week. This item is unusable. It is cheaply made and the ropes are very loose. An average adult could not use this - the ropes are so loose you end up touching the ground. I don't even think a child could use this hammock. The rope is cheap quality and already fraying --- it just removed it from the box. Think twice before buying this hammock --- tossing it in the garbage can -----

Do NOT buy this hammock
I bought this hammock to replace the one I already had on my stand. I checked the dimensions carefully to be sure it would fit my stand. When I first put it on the stand, it looked like a perfect fit. However, as soon as I sat on it, my butt went straight to ground. I am 115 pounds and too heavy for it. This rope is too stretchy, not the type that should be used for load-bearing, as it will not hold up at all. I placed my 30-pound child on it, and she was mere inches off the ground. It literally won’t even hold up under the weight of a toddler! Unfortunately, I bought this last fall and kept it in the box until this spring when I was ready to replace last season’s hammock, so I am well past the time period when I can return the item. It was a complete waste of money. Now that I’ve read other reviews of this product, I see that even when it isn’t used on a stand, even if stretched out as far as it will go and it’s completely horizontal, it fails to hold up when used. I wish I had read that before I ordered. I hope this review saves someone else from disappointment and lost money.

nope, nope, nope
The rope is really soft, and it's very pretty. I wanted to love this, and was excited to spend my afternoon reading and sipping tea in my beautiful new hammock. Sadly, it was not to be.The "bed" of the hammock is intertwined, but not knotted. This means the rope slips around, creating large holes and lots of sagging. The mechanism to attach the hammock to my stand didn't work, either, as the outside ropes were too short to reach half of the holders, and that left the center strings loose, further contributing to the sag. My butt was literally dragging on the ground. (shut up, I weigh only 130lbs) I can't imagine this thing successfully holding its stated weight limit without becoming completely misshapen. It **might** work for someone who wanted to hang it from straps on trees, but I think the lack of knotting would make it difficult for this hammock to be used successfully or long-term. I'd opt for another brand, for sure.

Stay Away
You get what you pay for. If you actually plan to use a hammock stay away from this one. The cotton fiber stretches so much that no matter how tight you string it, your butt will still drag the ground. We had a Pawleys Island hammock that lasted 20 years before it finally failed. Since our house is up for sale I figured to just get the cheapest one I could find and this was it. Only problem is if someone weighed 200 lbs or more they could injure themselves when they set down and bounce their butt and spine on the ground. I'm keeping it for appearances only as it looks fine and sets off the back yard beautifully but it is not to be used.

Warning! Don't buy this hammock!
Please don't buy this one. Save yourself the frustration. I bought it for my husband for Father's Day to replace his 8 year old one. Big mistake! The rope is woven so loosely that you get big holes which makes it really uncomfortable. Also, the wooden bars are bare wood, no varnish or finish at all. I don't look for it to last long. Such a shame because we enjoyed our old hammock so much. I look out the window at this one and just think ugh it's going to be so painfully uncomfortable I can't even make myself go out there and lay in it again. : (.

Not worth the money
Not impressed- the writeup showed this as an on sale hammock but after receiving it I see it's just a cheap hammock . The strands are far apart so it's not comfortable to lay in and it stretches like crazy ...

Don't buy this
This product is very very disappointing. With string a weave that is so large it offers no support. Very uncomfortable even with a hammock blanket and we are not large people!

Won't last long.
Well it didn't last long. I used it two summers and just pulled it out last week for the start of the third summer and one of the ropes snapped. 3 more are frayed and will snap shortly.
