Tape and frame seem of good quality but the hook end of the tape is attached about 1/4 of an inch too far from the first number on the tape. ie. it will always give you a measurement that is inaccurate.If you're only using it for rough measurements that only need to be "close", you're good to go. Frankly, I would never use this type of tape measure for anything that required high accuracy anyway.

I've had to purchase quite a few of these over the years. A good amount of thought went into the design of this one. The fast wind is quite handy. The tape seems well made, hopefully it lasts longer than the others. Overall it seems like a better tool than others i have bought.

Nice design. This is a good choice for horizontal measurements, such as dimensions over ground where there is not an issue of stretch. I used this for measuring new sails, and hoisted this 40+ feet vertically. The wind piped up, and there was some stretch in the tape...at least 1/2" in 44'. That might not be a big deal to your application, if not...this is ideal. If you need the accuracy marked out on the tape...then a steel tape is probably a better choice. This does neatly retrieve the tape.

I’m a Real Estate Appraiser. Do like how fast it rolls up but the tape started tearing then hanging up from the tear which leads to rips in the tape so had replace it in within a month which is much sooner then others I’ve used. Other then that I like the equipment. These companies should send Appraiser’s these tapes measures for field use then feedback as we likely use them more then any other end user.
