Pretty VulgarLava Water Foundation, Cool AF (Nudie Pie)

I'll admit that I was first interested in this product because of the name, but I ordered it because I am always looking for a product that will control oil, not go on thick, and most of all - to match my super white skintone. I ordered the Cool AF and put it in my cupboard because I didn't need it quite yet. Once I opened it, I found that the pump was broken and stuck inside the cap and product had slopped around inside the box, probably during shipping. I contacted the shipper, and even though it was so late after I ordered, they sent me a replacement - all is well!Now the product itself: I learned very quickly to dispense sparingly because the coverage from a small amount is excellent. It smells a little weird going on but quickly dissipates. OK now get this - this Cool AF shade is the closest I have EVER come to getting a match of my skintone. I check my face in the mirror after being at work for a while and there is NO ORANGE LINE around my face! I just couldn't believe it! As far as oil control, my face as a whole tends to be oily at times, but of course moreso in the T-zone. Here, my forehead stays smooth and dry. My nose, which apparently produces enough oil for 25 humans, still comes through a tad oily, but when I pad that away, no makeup comes off with it. Long story short, I am loving this product, and of course the cute little bottle, too!

I’m impressed by this brand. I received an Undercover concealer in a beauty box and fell in love. Medium coverage, flawless soft finish. That is the most important thing to me - the finish - cakey or greasy or sticky - ewww I can’t. I was so impressed with the concealer that I took a shot on the Cool AF foundation. It’s reviewed so-so but it’s a really good product! It is NOT the same finish as the concealer but it’s a really nice finish without looking heavy or mask like. Im in my sixties, I have large pores and imperfections as well as uneven skin tone so I am really picky with makeup. I hate when it looks heavy and makeup-y. Keeping it real, it helped all of those things without the added problems of buildable makeup I mentioned. I saw some reviewer compare it to drugstore makeup and that is wrong. Lots of people complained about the color match but mine was dead on perfect. I’m a warm leaning neutral if there is such a thing but I can see where it could be an issue if you’re unsure. I am pleased with this foundation and didn’t think it was overpriced at all. The bottle is lovely but that doesn’t impress me as a rule - it’s what’s inside. Came quickly, packaged well with no damage. Got more concealer too!

I feel bad writing a bad review because I had got this before and I was happy with what I got. This time when the order arrived half the bottle had been spilled out and the whole thing was pretty crusty, I'm just sad I don't get as much as I paid for ya know? Anyways that's my review

I got the shade Skinny Dip it matches my skintone perfectly. However, I gave the product a lower rating because the bottle came slightly open and product was leaking out and the top will not go no straight. That bummed me out but I needed the foundation for a wedding and just kept it. Other than that issues it's a great product and has great coverage.

I'm fair skin and a ginger without freckles. Normally the lightest shade works. I got the naked truth and for the first time ever it was paler than my own skin. I kept it cause as winter goes on my skin tone gets paler to see if its works in Jan/Feb/marchWhen they say full coverage they aren't joking. A little bit goes a long ways and u can build on coverage.Down side to ordering. They sell out fast! I've been keeping an eye out since Thanksgiving for Bad to the Bone shade to try it and its always sold out. But that should also tell u how good this foundation is once u find ur shade.
