Not As Advertised- Too Much Heat
I bought the Simply Marvelous Pecan Rub because I’ve heard from a couple of sources it’s the best rub for pork butt or ribs. It is advertised as a “blend of sweet, nutty & savory flavor” rub. The bag I received tastes nothing of this sort. The heat from what I assume is cayenne or some ghost pepper overpowers everything on your palette to the point of it being unpleasant. The batch of ribs I made using the Simply Marvelous Pecan Rub were way too spicy. Now I’m stuck with a big bag of dry rub I’m probably not going to use. Buyer beware!
