Dash Cam Hardwire Kit, Mini USB Hard Wire Kit Fuse for Dashcam, Plozoe 12V-24V to 5V/2A Car Dash Camera Charger Power Cord（13ft）

I installed this hoping it would shut off before it killed my battery but that didn't happen. I installed it, went on a 4x4 trip camping in New Mexico. It worked great for a week while traveling. I then went home and flew away for vacation for two weeks and when I got back my Jeep wouldn't start but my backup camera still came on when I shut the door (it has a jolt setting to turn on when the car is bumped). I had to put a battery charger on my Jeep for a couple of hours before I could get it started again. I thought the whole point of this was to turn off before the voltage dropped to a level that the car wouldn't start?

UPDATE: Vendor was quick to respond and send a replacement without hassle.To Curtis: you wired it wrong…To everyone else: install was simple, hardest part was running it through the firewall. It lasted 4 months before it stopped working out of no where. Fuses are still good, power is making it through the fuses, and the camera is still good (tested it with a different power source), but no power is coming from the wire. I’ll probably buy a new one and reinstall it since it’s only $15.

I wanted a dash cam, I think they make sense, that being said I don't care for having a whole bunch of car 12 volt plugs cluttering up my car. So I figured I would hardwire the dash cam in. The first kit was fine the only problem was that the USB mini plug had a 90* bend in it that made it impossible to plug in. So I order this kit due to its lack of any bend at the USB mini side so I was able to power my camera. If you have a dash cam or other electronic device and don't want all the clutter of using the 12 volt plugs, I highly recommend this product.

Bought it for my rexing V1 max Dash cam, after following some weirly translate Chinese - English instruccion I gave up and turned to Youtube to install it in my Geely gx3 (car)Lucky I was able to make it work and setup everything to take advantage of the Parking mode in my camare and the Battery Protection of the Kit, but for my surprise after one day at my work, when i was really to drive home, the car battery was death.TLDR: This Kit battery Protection dont work and is useless for use in parking mode.

The grounding bracket is to small to fit around the metal frame lugs on my vehicle. 2020 Kia Sportage
