This lamp does a great job. I needed something that would hang rather than clip on my headboard and this does the job. I found a night light wattage bulb that fits this lamp and it's great for the amount of light I need just to get up in the middle of the night and be able to see and not have a glaring light on. This lamp is really pretty in the gray color. I am sure it would do well as a reading lamp with a larger bulb. I love the height it hangs with the shorter of the two hangers that it came with and the pull chain works great and is easy to pull. It is tad expensive but since I kept knocking the clip light off my bed I was willing to pay extra since this one hangs over the headboard.

I purchased two nightlamps...one for my husband and one for me. The color and texture of the lamps fits perfectly with my decor. The advertisement was accurate and the light output is excellent. Initially I used the longer hooks but was glad the shorter hooks were provided as we had to purchase a box xpring for the platform bed since my husband thought just the mattress was too low for him. With the increase of 12 inches, the lamps needed to be higher on the headboard. It worked out perfectly.

I tried to use these on a mid-rise headboard, and the hanging brackets are really long. There is no way to adjust them, so the lamp hung down almost to the pillow. They may be great for tall headboards, but a twin-size mid-rise headboard didn't work. They look nice, but $40 seems expensive for what you get. I'd think more like $20-30 would be a better price point. If they came with the option for shorter brackets, or adjustable height brackets (so it didn't hang down to the pillow on a mid-rise headboard), then maybe $40 would be fair. They do work, and they are a great solution if you don't want a table lamp or a wall sconce, but be aware that they hang down pretty far.

I didnt think this lamp was going to work for us. The lamp wouldn't fit over mom's headboard as the headboard is too low. We were able to mount it directly to the wall through the shade, which is fairly sturdy. My elder mom is able to use the pull chain to light up her room when she has to get up during the night. Love this for her.

Easy to install. Fits multiple width headboards. Looks like an expensive hotel piece.

It's perfect!Well constructed; light and my headboard is 5" wide - so I took pliers and bent it flat, with a deep curve at the end to hook on the back of my headboard. I covered the white hooks with some leftover dark brown contact paper to blend with the color and VOILLA....nice and sturdy.it's not as if it's an active hallway lamp and so it works. You can always change up the fabric to suite your decor - just get some remnant fabric; a little glue gun; or add some embellishments....it's a simple design with great possibilities - have fun with it.
