EASTERN CLASSICS Solid Kiri Wood, Smoked Finish, Japanese Style Tea Canister (Round)

Kiri wood is very soft (think Balsa wood's slightly tougher brother) and very prone to denting easily. In fact, mine came already dented. But since its only a few cosmetic bumps, I didn't really want to bother sending it back (especially considering how long it took to get here).Another reviewer also made note that he had to sand and seal the interior of the canister- I COMPLETELY AGREE! But once I sanded it and sealed with Nan's all natural polish (which I highly recommend, its completely food safe with no mineral oil etc.) it works great as a tea canister.I just hope it holds up well...

The product is amazing, buy it with confidence.The one improvement I would ask is for the lid to have a closer fit.

This item has a nice clean finish, just as described :) Great for storing my green tea :) It feels and looks authentic ! Nicely made :)

I enjoy many teas and wanted something for my aged oolongs. It's very roughly made on the inside. Gave me splinters. The wood is too pithy and low quality to sand it to make it better. I was not impressed with the craftsmanship.
