Henri de Rivel Pro Extra Long Flat Laced Reins

You get what you pay for with these reins. They appear to be painted rather than dyed, so I'm not sure how well they will stand up for regular use. They are a great length and do have a nice feel. They are fine for light schooling or lower level showing.

For extra long reins, they are not long enough. I should have read the details better. They are nice reins and I kept them but I had to order a longer set in the end.

Great length and seem well made. They do smell like paint. Hoping once I air them out the smell goes away. It is a pretty strong smell.

My reins were pretty much on their last leg. I looked for a while to replace them until I finally came across this offer from Henri de Rivel. At first the leather felt a bit stiff. after a month of riding they feel like butter in my hand. I'm happy with my purchase and my large horse loves the extra few inches of length.

Ordered these in black to go on my dressage bridle...when arrived they were very dark brown not black...they seem of decent quality for the price but very smelly...will use for schooling

I bought a nice bridle and needed longer reins. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something my horse likes to chew on when he can so I took the gamble and bought these. I cannot believe the quality for the price! I thought I was going to have to buy nicer ones to show in but these work fantastically! They are soft and supple and feel wonderful. I have had them for over a year now and they are as good as new!

Quality seemed great, but I ended up returning. These are not X-Long, just standard length (60"). Item is just mislabeled.
