Do not buy this bulb.
At least a half-second passes between flipping the switch and this bulb lighting. Furthermore, it emits a weird blue color when it does warm up. Also, it's unusually long and protrudes from the can I mounted it in. Other bulbs fit fine. A terrible product. Do not waste your money.

Great to have this color choice. Just a bit slow.
Having 3500k in the kitchen is just what I wanted, BUT this is NOT the bulb to use there. It's just too slow to brighten up. Would be great mixed with one or two 3500k LED's. You could get the quick brightness of the LED's and the low price of this CFL.Anyway, if you find 2700k too orange, and 5000k too blue, you might find this a great choice for areas where having the full light output delayed for 10-20 seconds isn't too annoying. Maybe it deserves 5-stars as the first light you wake up to in the morning? In the morning I might appreciate a gradual ramp-up to full power!

decent product
I don't know if they will last as long as they are supposed to, but the 3500k gives off a nice clean bright white light. We are using them in some resessed lights in the bathroom and kitchen, the light is so much better than the lower k bulbs they replaced. They are a little slow and warming up, but you do get use to that over time.

This item has poor quality, you can hear broken part sound for the brand new one. I end up going to Home depot to buy with better price

Nice but not what I expected...
These showed up in a search for dimable Bright White bulbs. I don't blame Earthtronics, it is what Amazon search gave me. I bought them, I was in a hurry. They are not dimable which is a shame.I hate warm white bulbs and I would pay anything for dimable bright white (3000K to 4000K) LED R30 floodlights. I would be happy with bright white or daylight CFL R30s that were dimable. I just can't find them anywhere.
