Unfortunatley it's too big for 2 and uses too much electric. Probably all right for a family of 4+ who eat loads of vegtables. I donated mine to charity.

Mein alter Eierkocher löste sich auf, und ich suchte einen neuen, bei dem ich nicht kompliziert das Wasser abmessen muss. Da jeder Platz in der Küche kostbar ist, kam ich auf die Idee das gleich mit einem Dampfgarer zu verbinden. Das Dämpfen von Kartoffeln, Spargel etc. klappte hervorragend, doch mit den voreingestellten 12 Minuten wird jedes Ei zu Stein.Da wir die Eier weich möchten, also Eiweiß hart und Eigelb flüssig habe ich nach etwas Überlegung und Probieren hier nun die für uns! optimale Lösung:- Ein kühlschrank-kaltes Ei (Größe L) in eine Seite geben und mit der Reiskochschale! abdecken, um den Dampfraum zu verkleinern. (Damit bekommt das Ei/Eier schnell von allen Seiten die gleiche Dampftemperatur.)-7 Minuten einstellen und dämpfen.- Nach Ablauf der Zeit noch 30-40 Sekunden warten (warm halten lassen),- rausnehmen und- kurz mit kaltem Wasser abschrecken (den Garprozess stoppen, sonst wird es eher wachsartig)Perfekt, das Ei ist auf den Punkt. Eiweiß hart, Eigelb flüssig. Alles andere geht ja ohne Probleme.

Bought to replace an old cheap steamer I've had for 15 years.It looks great, although it's a little bigger than I'd imagined. The controls are easy to use. I like the food specific settings that are easily accessible by one button. It steams well, although is a bit noisier than my last one.Like the split compartments and ability to do 2 separate things and have them ready at the same time. Also like the keep warm function, which does as it says for 10 mins after cooking if your other food is not ready.I've not put the upper parts through the dishwasher yet, so can't comment, but the plastic seems to be of the type that a dishwasher might destroy. My last steamer parts succumbed to that fate.Happy so far. If it lasts me 15 years I'll let you know 😂

This steamer is an absolute gem. Easy to use and with 2 seperate steaming compartments that can be set to cook independently but finish at the same time and a stay warm function at the end of the cooking time makes this a fantastic piece of kitchen equipment.
