Much better than metal brush. Metal eventually falls apart. Bristles everywhere. I've used this aggressively a few times, and it still looks good. I keep a back up anyway, just in case.

PERFECT for cleaning your chimney and fits PERFECT onto the ROD KIT ,also. The POLY BRUSH will NOT DAMAGE or scratch up the inside of your chimney! I Purchased both the 6" and the 8" brush and found that on my HOUSE chimney, the 6" POLY BRUSH was ALL that I needed! So I would suggest that before you purchase the 8" brush, BE certain that you need one that large. I did find another use for the 8" brush in an older chimney on a 2nd building that I use a KEROSENE heater in. But as I said, most folks that I know that clean their own chimney, have told me the 6" brush works perfect for them. I RECOMMEND these POLY BRUSHES!

Good product. Fit my threaded 1/4” npt rods, good snug fit in the flue, but not too tight. Use poly brushes on steel flue pipes.
